In the world that the fuzzy wuzzies are twisting into something that indulges their soft lifestyle and weak spirit, freedom of speech only exists for those who have the backing of special interest groups.  Not only SHOULD you be able to voice your opinion, you CAN ...it's only through years of PC indoctrination that peoples voices have been muted.  Oh yeah, and we're developing into a society that can't think for itself.  This goes hand in hand with the current growing crop of people believing, cause they haven't been told any different, that they have the right to happiness.  It's the PERSUIT of happiness folks.

Just my random thoughts.  I didn't assist in the decline of our civilization, but I refuse to be part of the problem.   :x

I couldn't agree more Guro Crafty.  The base problem with 24 hour cable news, is just that ...they're on the air 24/7, and they have to have something to report.  The way they've handled the situation has cheapened the news, and local news channels have to follow suit to compete.

And as for the _________, Paris Hilton, I find it to be in a long line of things that prove, to me at least, that we are digressing as a culture.  But, I guess that's what happens when society lives vicariously through the television.

Enjoy the day, you won't get it back.   8-)

For what it's worth ...I think the current PC situation can be summed up in one, horribly depressing phrase:

We as a society have, in our complacency, allowed common courtesy to be replaced by forced tolerance.

Because something is ...you don't HAVE to like it, but it can still be.

You or I can say something that the other doesn't agree with.  It's no big deal ...it actually can lead to a good conversation.

Don't feel that you are owed anything ...cause you inherently deserve NOTHING!  Earn it.

Freedom of speech applies to all ...not just your "special" group.

And, in the words of the great social philosopher, George Carlin ...if you don't like it, there are two knobs on it.  One turns it off ...and the other one changes the channel.

Just my opinion.  Carry on.  I'll be in the area all day.

This story proves two things:

1) That there is NO value to News Alerts anymore.  When this ...thing, rates the same News Alert as a poor girl snatched outside a Kansas Target and murdered, news venues have been cheapened to an un-redeemable point.

2) We as a society are sick.  People pay the price for their actions every day.  Why do we care about this ...thing, more that anyone else.  ...and for the life of me, I can't figure out what she's famous for.

Just my opinion...

Be well...
