I suppose if Harris were to win in '24 she would be '28 nominee.
But if she doesn't this guy is playing the game for '28:

I still don't quite get the foreign policy logic.
The Dems squeeze Israel for some sort of "cease fire" over them winning the war
while at the same gleefully spending like whirling dervishes in Ukraine over the Donbas and encourage war over peace.
Is Donbass more strategically important then Israel?
Go figure.

This guy is more clever than Biden let alone Harris.
Not sure how he would do national stage however:

Demonstrably late to the party though.

This could go a lot of places, but given the current political landscape I’m guessing that, as he represents the road not taken, Shapiro may be doing a wee bit of positioning here:

Too late for it to be taken seriously, but he will play the card anyway.

Gov Shapiro: He may end up having to leave the party like Tulsi. And he might be perfect for top of the ticket on the new no labels party.
I don't favor third parties but something needs to snap the Democrats out of their far left spiral.
-
As a matter of political handicapping, I'm keeping my eye on Sen. Fetterman.
Also, I did not catch the name but there was just an interview on FOX of some guy running for mayor of NYC who showed good promise.

I don't understand why a professorial lecture, ala O'Bamster, from this guy who promotes himself into the camera limelight is so repeated in the MSM.
" “Some attention in this case, especially online, has been deeply disturbing, as some have looked to celebrate instead of condemning this killer,” Shapiro said during a press conference Monday, referring to some reports on the internet that show a “lack of sympathy.”
“In some dark corners, this killer is being hailed as a hero. Hear me on this: He is no hero,” the governor added.
ME:
No shit sherlock
Already running for '28 with an adoring news media .
But what the hell does he have to do with this to become front and center? nothing. He could not stop taking the stage and promoting himself with his obvious common sense gospel that everyone already knows.
The McDs employee who recongnized Luigi should be the one who gets some media along with NYC police dept. Not JOSH!

"We’re getting stuff done. I signed nearly 90 bills this January to move our state forward.'
Because what people need are more laws.
-
fuuny I did search just now for the cost of these bills. But nothing came up for 2025. One link I found on it then said "NO LONGER AVAILABLE"
we all know it is a shopping spree on Rodeo drive for big government programs.
buy education buy security buy abortion "rights" buy jobs buy housing
sounds so nice and squishy and mamala ....
how beautiful ...... usual dem programs with little or no ROI: wink:
yup - W for 2028. while the world is becoming more dangerous and our debt even farther beyond fixable the Dems push for more programs more spending and more and more laws regulations taxes and the usual rest.

This could more than one place, but given its 2028 implications….
Former Clinton Pollster Sounds Alarm About Collapsing Democrat Support: ‘Never Seen Anything Like This’
By thepoliticsbrief - February 22, 2025
Former Clinton pollster Mark Penn said Friday evening on Fox News that the Democratic Party’s support from voters appears to be “falling off a cliff.”
Democrats have struggled to find a unifying message since the party’s historic loss to President Donald Trump in November 2024. With former Vice President Kamala Harris losing the party’s once tight grip on many key voting blocs, recent polls show Trump with one of his highest approval ratings of his two terms.
On “The Ingraham Angle,” Laura Ingraham asked Penn why he believes Democrats are failing to connect with voters. In response, Penn teased some of his data from a poll set to be released on Feb. 24.
“Well, I’ve got some new polling coming out Monday that I’ve just looked at. Frankly, the Democratic Party is falling off a cliff,” Penn said. “The ratings, which were in the high 40s, are gonna be like 35%.”
“I think the basic question, ‘Who’s doing a better job as president, Biden or Trump?’ Trump is winning that with 57%,” Penn added. “I think you’re seeing a retrospective assessment of Biden and the direction the Democratic Party was going. It really [is] a lot more negative than it was on election day.”
During her campaign, pundits questioned Harris’ attacks against Trump as her team ramped up rhetoric, such as calling the president a “fascist,” as the former vice president failed to connect with voters on their top concerns regarding the economy, inflation, and immigration. Post-election polls conducted by The New York Times show Harris not only earned 7 million fewer votes than former President Joe Biden in 2020, but also fell short in three of the seven key swing states and in 80% of counties nationwide.
After Harris’ loss, Biden eventually told the Wall Street Journal that while it might be “presumptuous to say,” he believed he could have won the November election “based on the polling” had he not withdrawn from the race in July 2024. However, as Biden exited the White House and transferred power to Trump on Jan. 20, the former president left office with a 37% approval rating, while 63% disapproved of his job, according to a final CBS poll.

“They’re looking at the contrast on immigration, on economic policy, on some of the social policies. And boy, they’re reevaluating the Democratic Party, I have never seen anything like this,” Penn said. “This is a record low for the Democratic Party in terms of favorability. It has fallen really, really way down. I don’t think there’s any leadership right now that’s gonna be able to bring that back.”
Democratic National Committee (DNC) members gathered on Feb. 1 to select the DNC’s new chair, choosing Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party Chairman Ken Martin. In an interview following his win, Martin told the NYT that he believes the party’s policies were not the reason for their struggles, but rather that their “messaging” is off.
