Japan’s Quiet Trumpism—Globalism Takes Big Hits in Land of the Rising Sun
For the past 8 years, Japan has undergone a quiet revolution. For many Japanese, the old system of alliances centered around the US security treaties is a dead letter. This realization of the ending of the American era has led to a fundamental rethinking of Japan’s place in the world. This shift also foreshadowed the rejection of “Globalism”—the now-broken code for honey-phrased international socialism—that occurred last November in the US and over the summer in the UK.
Here’s how the American century was squandered. Under Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, foreign policy isolated and angered America's allies while coddling, or in some cases overtly funding and enabling, America's enemies. For many nations in Asia, such as Thailand, Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, and the Philippines, US foreign policy from 2009 to 2017 made it painfully obvious that, despite "Pacific Pivot" platitudes and other nostrums, the United States was no longer a trusted ally. These nations saw little choice but to appease the rising hegemon of Asia, the People’s Republic of China.
But now an entirely new Asian dynamic is at play. The US presidential vote was a resounding rejection of the globalist vision, and a ringing reassurance to US allies in the region that Americans do, indeed, share the values that many Asian nations have come to embrace.
The globalist American press has worked with unprecedented fervor—and increasing desperation—to marginalize Americans’ fast-growing skepticism of the globalist agenda. Among the Asian nations, Japan has had its version of the Reagan revolution/Trump revolt in Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. For daring to proclaim that the people of a given nation have rights that must be protected, Abe—and Trump—have come under a withering globalist media and establishment attack.
Under Abe, Japan, already an indispensable American ally, has risen to an even greater level of importance to Washington’s policy in the Far East. But Abe’s rise must also be put in the context of the full-scale collapse of US-backed globalism throughout Asia.
For example, eight years of failed US diplomacy have left the once-hopeful democracy of South Korea a shambolic mess poised perfectly for a hard-left takeover. President Park Geun-hye, the first female South Korean president, sought to turn the comfort woman issue to her advantage, but, with her impeachment and recent arrest, has now learned that feminist outrage is even more dangerous for women than for men.
Park’s potential replacements are all openly vowing to abrogate the agreement to base the US THAAD (Theater High-Altitude Area Defense) missile warning and defense system in South Korea. Many of Park’s candidate successors express sympathies with China and North Korea. The depth of South Korea’s leftist plunge was revealed in part last year when US ambassador Mark Lippert was slashed in the face by a fanatic subsequently hailed as a hero.
It has therefore suddenly become a distinct possibility that the United States will lose South Korea as a key ally, and will no longer be able to base critical defence systems against North Korean nuclear aggression anywhere on the Korean peninsula. This makes Japan all the more important. The heightened prominence of Japan in the US alliance system does much to explain why Japan’s prime minister has been so viciously attacked by the globalist press.
Fortunately, as in America, Japan has a wave of popular conservative intellectual opinion makers. Surprisingly, they are mostly young and female. To this we turn in the second part of this two-part essay.
Japan's Enlightened Women Lead the Charge against Leftist Globalism
As Jonathan Bethune noted in his August 2016 Japan Today essay “Japanese politics and new media: Lessons from the recent election,” Prime Minister Abe’s re-election bid was successful in large part because 18 and 19 year olds were allowed to vote in the last elections. Many of these young, new voters are anti-globalist, just as their American counterparts were in the US presidential election held a few months later.
Much of this disaffection with globalism is driven by new-wave Japanese conservative women. These young women reject the corporate media (also seeing it as "fake news"), and tend to analyze the issues in depth from multiple sources, thus rejecting the globalist narrative imposed by the left-wing establishment.
Interestingly, these Japanese conservatives are attacked mostly by Americans in English-language publications—the same Americans who have been attacking conservatives and populists in the Western hemisphere from Reagan and Thatcher to Farage and Trump. Many older conservative Americans have long since adopted the liberal narrative perfected by Franklin Roosevelt—usually through ignorance of Japan carefully cultivated by selective translation and American “scholarship”—but younger conservatives are waking up to the decades of globalist lies. These long years of blind acceptance of the globalist line by the majority of American conservatives are what confuse Japanese conservatives the most.
Conservative men on both sides of the Pacific have been largely silent in the face of the leftist hijacking of the history of Japan-American relations. But Japanese conservative women seem to thrive on these attempts at repression. With each new insult against their intelligence, these women only grow bolder.
Nor is this phenomenon limited to ethnically Japanese females. Korean and Taiwanese women living in Japan have also joined the ranks in support of Abe and in rejection of globalism. A diverse coalition including journalist Yoshiko Sakurai, South Korea-born professor Oh Sonfa, Taiwanese Birei Kin, former North Korean abduction issue minister Kyoko Nakayama, former Diet member Mio Sugita, non-fiction author Keiko Kawasoe, journalists Miki Ootaka and Kaori Arimoto, and the irrepressible critic and opinion-leader Yoko Mada has risen up in opposition to entrenched academic establishment hate-mongers like University of Connecticut professor Alexis Dudden, Temple Japan professor Jeff Kingston, Japan-bashing clearinghouse manager Columbia professor Carol Gluck, and a host of other political activists ensconced in hard-left academia.
Yoko Mada is a good example of the grass-roots movement of young enlightened women now canvassing the Internet. Under her YouTube handle "Random Yoko," Mada uses both English and Japanese to address a growing number of followers on issues regarding the Japan-US relationship. Long before Trump had even won the Republican nomination, Mada was leading the "Make America Great Again" movement in Japan. In some of her recent videos, Mada has spotlighted the amateur politicking of anti-Japan activist Alexis Dudden, just one of many leftist "experts" whom the majority of voters in Japan and the US are now ignoring. Mada's videos show just how desperate American leftists are to cripple the Abe administration, which has consistently proven itself to be one of America's most critical allies.
Mada’s work serves as a warning to Americans: the left is anxious to vilify the Japanese conservative movement because that movement threatens to undermine what the left has been working to achieve since gaining ascendancy in the American media and academe—the downfall of the United States and the abandonment of Japan to the Maoist heritage state on the Chinese mainland.
The globalist elite—a male-dominated congeries of effectively stateless profiteers—has wreaked havoc on communities worldwide. The most truly global aspect of the globalists’ activities has been their ability to destroy livelihoods and undermine the ability of men to earn an honest paycheck. Men have largely tolerated this, perhaps afraid of being labelled a racist and therefore barred from any kind of employment in the future. But women have seen what is happening to their hometowns, and they have had enough. Globalism is breaking on the shoals of a thousand hardscrabble towns, but it is taking a real pounding in Japan, where fearless women are uniting to stop the globalists from undermining the alliance system which keeps their families safe.

Trump is right in part. His challenge for Japan (and other nations) to take a larger role in their own defense is good for both US and Japan. The threats posed by China and North Korea make Japan a crucial ally for the US and the Asian neighbors.
I wish Mr. Abe success in making Japan economically strong again. Unfortunately, recent consumption tax increases have had an anti-growth effect on their economy.

They are still dealing with after-effects and issues from "the War (WWII).
The term globalism ("—the now-broken code for honey-phrased international socialism"), or anti-globalism in this case, needs to make clear the distinction that international trade, free trade and alliances can be quite beneficial, and that global rule, global government, global leftism, global socialism, global kleptocracy is all wrong and dangerous and needs to be defeated across the globe, not just fought in the US.
Under Obama, we pursued the wrong countries to be our allies, Iran and Russia for examples. We need new and better alliances. That includes a hopefully revitalized Japan.

Most people in America sadly can't even locate most Asian nations on a map let alone know that there is a modern "Axis Powers" operating there since the mid 1990s. A few strategists even look at the war on terror not as a fight against Islamic radicalization, but another "Great Game" where the SCO vies for dominance agianst the US and our allies.
While we were distracted over the last 8 years with a self destructive foreign policy that coddled our enemies (almost all in the SCO) and alienated our allies, China as head of the SCO was busy gaining the ultimate "checkmate" for global domination: Internal autarky that spans Central Asia and touches the Middle East and Europe.
While the politicians in the US fight over shadowy connections between Trump and Putin are not only detramental to US prestige abroad, but lessen the chances that the US can break up the "new Axis powers" and stand a fighting chance to stop China's march to Europe via the old silk road. Our domestic squabbles have geostrategic impact that we might not be able to counter.
Ask someone who begins to talk about US strategy if they know about the SCO. If they don't they are only operating with half the picture. (Imagine if someone tried to figure out US and UK policy in Europe without even knowing there is a NATO).

Is Japan Prepared for the 2020 Olympics? At least one bomb expert think the answer is no.
Explosive Ordinance Disposal is a complex matter involving intelligence, law enforcement, military, technology, history, and much courage and diligence.
A vital aspect of high-level EOD work is intelligence sharing and building relationships with other EOD around the world. This is important for many reasons. For instance there are 'migratory' routes for enemy bomb making techniques.
We know what when a new type of device starts to be used a place A, in a matter of months it will start being used at place B, and within a year or two at C, D, E, F....
This intelligence is vital for numerous reasons. Firstly, it helps map the organizations and their cooperation levels, which helps with targeting the enemy. Secondly, when EOD at place A start seeing a new type of device, all those EOD at B, C, D, E, F...need to know about it because it will soon show up in their operations. And there are other reasons for close cooperation.
Thailand is very good at sharing information. In fact, a US Army officer just told me that they just hosted more Thai EOD in Hawaii. Also, US military works closely with Thais and will be here again this year at Raven's Challenge (biggest EOD event in the world -- organized by a close friend). Also present will be Malaysians, Indonesians, Israelis, and much more.
But no Japanese.
Japanese are refusing to participate in crucial cross-pollination. We are on the edge of the 2020 Olympics.
Japanese EOD need to be out here on the cutting edge.
Many peoples' lives will depend on Japanese EOD in 2020. This will be more than embarrassing if people are blown up in the 2020 Olympics by IED types such as those out of Philippines or South Thailand.
This is serious business. If Japan does not get serious about it, expect this to hit the big time news.

The conflict in Hong Kong is not about the Extradition Bill — and now many other issues are piling up almost weekly. The issue is that Communist China is trying to swallow and digest Hong Kongers who know the taste of freedom.
Humans are far more likely to fight to keep something they have than to fight for something they do not have. Mainland Chinese as a group never in their lives have tasted freedom. The communist cowboys in Beijing ride their broken slave horses daily and the broken horses just stare at the ground and go where they are told.
The British helped Hong Kongers taste freedom, and rule of law, and Hong Kongers love their freedom and legitimate judicial system. They will fight. The real fight is beginning.
Hong Kong is a key battle ground in a much larger war. Taiwan and others are watching.

Trump is getting on my last good nerve:
If Trump really believes this is winding down, or if CIA is advising this -- if Trump even takes CIA calls -- this is wrong. This is not winding down.
I have greatly supported Trump on immigration, ripping into China, not falling for the carbon credits shakedown (am making no statement about climate change, but about the scam), and just generally not being Hillary.
But he is abandoning Hong Kong, and the Kurds, and I never have liked him as a human but have been able to keep that in a box while he chainsaws CCP.
If he snuggles with CCP and sells out Hong Kong, Trump is not worth the oxygen he breathes. If he lets the Kurds be slaughters, I will never vote for him even if it is a choice between him and Clinton. And that means a lot because she is just as bad but at least supports Hong Kong.
We need better choices for President. America cannot keep going like this. Choices like Obama, Clinton, Trump...this is insane.

I've never liked President Trump but he is winning. Smashing Chinese Communist Party. Chainsaw massacre in Beijing. We are finally dismantling this beast.
And yet the House of Representatives is hyper focused on killing our chances of subduing the criminals who have killed Tibetans for generations, send Muslims to concentration camps, use Christians and Falun Gong as living organ donors, threaten most of the world, take advantage of the greed of uneducated NBA players, threaten to invade Taiwan and Hong Kong -- and we finally are beating them.
We clearly are damaging and bleeding CCP far faster than their replenishment capacity.
Yet some of our government members are behaving morally criminally to stop this. Bald power grab.
Remember the two vital ingredients for hate:
Anger + Disgust --> Hate
They are creating hatred to target their opponents, and in doing so are created hatred against themselves. Hatred has a magical way or splashing back on those who create and splash it around.

I had breakfast, lunch, and dinner with Matt Schlapp and other very interesting and serious people in Hong Kong. I also took them to a small Hong Kong Freedom Fighter confrontation with police. It was raining like crazy.
Since January, I have been saying loud and clear that there is one candidate in 2020 that can take out President Trump: The Virus.
The Virus can take out President Trump with various forms of attack, divided roughy into two major lines of attack:
1) Direct Attack: virus infects President Trump he either dies or otherwise taken out of action. Secret Service can do little to protect someone who is out shaking hands with globe trotters. And everyone around President Trump including Secret Service are globe trotters.
2) Indirect attack: Economy collapses (stand by--do your shopping now), key members of government are taken down by the virus, or taken down by politics related to first (health), second (economic) or third order effects, etcetera.
This virus represents an existential threat to President Trumps physical body, and very much puts him at risk in all ways. Nobody is immune.
Biden thinks he is running for Senate and so forth -- and he and others also are not immune.
President Trump has been doing very important work against Chinese Communist Party, immigration issues that threaten US national security, and other forms of attack against the United States. But on this issue in particular, President Trump is failing. Miserably. CDC is as compromised as WHO. Surgeon General has zero credibility. And it's only getting worse.
It seems to me at this time that anyone who wishes to run against Trump will do so by:
1) Hunkering down for now and preserving themselves and their staffs. Let the storm ravage everyone who thinks they are big and smart and rich and tough enough to outwit a virus that is 1,000x smarter than any human.
2) Emerge late in 2020 as a contender to compete against whatever remains alive and viable.
I and others have been warning loud and clear since January.
Someone like Bernie Sanders could be elected simply by being the last communist standing. Worse than the virus. And that is hard to do.
Senator Marco Rubio...where are you? Hunker down. Ron DeSantis. Hunker down. Preserve health.

Highly Suggest: Keep Stocking Up on Food — Water Security Crucial
Food prices will continue to rise — 90 percent chance. Remember that I started beating this drum hard in January 2020. HIGHLY suggest you stock up on all things you need to stay home for extended periods. Do NOT tell others you are prepping. If you live around smart people who are prepared, your risks are much lower. If you live around people who are taking inventory of preppers — YOU are their backup plan. I use a Berkey water-filter for home, and a Katadyn pocket filter for travel. Prices for both went way up since I started warning in January 2020. Remember that when your water goes out, your toilets do not work. Everyone’s conditions are different. World War II: Japan tried many times to avert war with America
This is in answer to question from @james_f_lee No edit mind-dump at 0200 Saturday morning James, Roosevelt and others wanted war with Japan. I know this sounds crazy to a lot of folks. And pretty much all of us who are long-time Americans had family who fought in World War II. My family first shipwrecked in Bermuda in 1609, and finally made it to Jamestown in 1610. And so the list of wars is sort of a Forest Gump family-journey. I am supposed to hate Japanese due to Pearl Harbor. But I study.
And I know we are and were a victim of our own information war from our own government. And people like me are supposed to blame the Japanese and justify all that happened. But I don’t like bullshit. And the record on that war is as clear as what happened in Afghanistan. “Bullshit so high you needed wings to stay above it.” Our government lied to us about Japan and pushed Japan to attack us.
And Japan was fool enough to take the bait. Oh, they were not rash. The Japanese were not rash. They knew that attacking us, the Aussies, Brits, and Dutch, likely was suicidal. After all, Japanese knew or suspected we wanted them to charge at the cape: Hawaii. Hawaii was the cape. Roosevelt was matador. He pranced. Sword drawn. Up on his toes. The picador stuck Japan again and again. Come. Come closer. Dig your horn into our ships that were docked. The moment Japan rushed the cape, Roosevelt would go for the kill. There was no sneak attack. No more of a sneak attack than the bull who was pushed into the arena and tortured to attack had suddenly managed to sneak an attack. This was totally defensive. WE KNEW WITH 100% CERTAINTY THAT ATTACK WAS IMMINENT. Why were our ships all stacked up in Pearl Harbor despite that newspapers across America were warning of attack?

Random insofar as I typed in “Japan negotiations” and selected the year 1940 on Newspapers.com, and then selected a story at random. Don’t take my word for it. Invest a few weeks or months into this. I did. Many months and books. And spent a great deal of time looking at articles like this. There are more articles like this than most people have to read. Japanese constantly trying to negotiate. Constantly trying to head off war with United States. And in 1941, United States clearly, unambiguously, knew for a 100% fact that attack on Pearl Harbor was imminent. It’s right there in headlines across America a week before the attack that Japan was about to attack. Japan was at its wits end. Did not like the Nazis. Hated communists. Tonight, I am here in Vilnius, Lithuania, and earlier today photographed a plaque not far from my hotel in gratitude for Japanese Ambassador Chiune Sugihara who was saving Jews in Lithuania from Nazis. Sugihara is a hero. That’s right. Japanese here in Lithuania were saving Jews. And when Hitler wanted Japan to kill Jews, Japan refused. Angered Hitler. Japanese did not like Hitler or Nazis. Germany was ally of last resort. Japan wanted no war with America. Ask your Jewish friends about Sugihara. Ask Japanese. Some Japanese do not even know! Lithuanians seem to know. Japan hated the Nazis and the communists but Roosevelt was snuggled up with China. And China was running information operations on Japan just like they do today. We had every opportunity to ally ourselves with Japan and go after Nazis and Communists. But nobody wanted to help those uppity Japanese who would not read a Bible — especially not so when Japan was imperial competition and could just be erased. Even after Japan was on side during World War I, and all the western countries punished Japan for its World War I help on our side. We should have been allies with Japan. Jews would not need Israel today if we had wiped out the Nazis, Communists, and Fascists. We could have averted the Holocaust. But no. We fought Japan. Made allies of Communists against Nazis.
And now CCP is massively dangerous. We could have let the Nazis and Communists duke it out, and then mop the floor of them all when they were finished. While the impact of the failure of the Afghanistan withdrawal, increase in migrant traffic, and the incredulity of the US government seemingly deliberately projecting incompetence won't be known in full until many moons have passed. We don't need to await the passage of time and review to know that the events of the past week have wrought changes that no one thought would be tolerated before.
As all on this email list are aware, Michael Yon has been accurate in his assessment in Afghanistan for decades. He now has some observations about what the criminal neglect of a coordinated withdrawal means to the future of the US and its allies. In addition, Michael sees how the Migrant Invasion Issue, disease vectors, unfiltered refugee airlifts from Afghanistan into US bases and cities, and a host of other issues dealing with the CCP expansionist plans are related in many surprising ways.

Keep adjusting your world view until you no longer are surprised. If you are surprised by this, try adjusting your paradigm to something like, "This has nothing to do with health. The Beast is using information war to destroy our military. And more. Defund the Police. Is a hostile takeover. Opening the borders is a hostile takeover. Breaking the economy is a hostile takeover. The Beast is setting conditions for authentic genocide."
If you try my current paradigm for just a week, you be unsurprised at ships off the coast unable to unload, forced jabs with untested chemicals into children's arms. Or, maybe the chemicals actually were heavily tested, say, on Uighurs. Don't laugh. Don't scoff. This readily fits a paradigm that is not another wild conspiracy.
I have been saying since January 2020. In January 2020, I said clearly
on interviews and published in writing numerous times that restaurants and travel might close.
I bought ivermectin and HCQ in March of 2020. I bought ivermectin on Amazon in April 2020.
Because my paradigm has been amazingly accurate on general predictions. There are huge numbers of people out there still rushing for boosters who either never heard of things like ivermectin and Regeneron, or their paradigms are so primitive that they believe that my avoiding the untested chemicals, and going for the highly tested and probably highly efficacious FLCCC protocols, is a political statement.
Remember, Trump rushed these chemicals to market. And indemnified the makers. Now, how will those last two sentences fit into a paradigm that wishing to live is a political statement? Team-Trump appears to have been suckered into this by The Beast. But he did, at minimum, take the bait.
Now, many of Team Trump realize this was a massive error and quickly adjusted -- as good leaders do.
Yet the Beast Grows.
I avoid most specific predictions such as "what is the spark?" I look at Conditions, and use the paradigm to predict future Conditions. Because I keep tweaking my paradigm to fit new information.
We are under attack. That is my paradigm. Under my paradigm, we will go into civil war, and The Beast will make a naked stab at genocide. The Beast is laying genocide traps everywhere. And those tech giant owners -- if they think they will be running the show, they are fools. The Beast will use them up and finally show them that real power flows out of the barrel of a gun. The Beast will take their companies and their lives.
I masked up late on 11 January because I am a war correspondent and Pandemic and Famine always are running partners. I also spent years running around in or living in communist, or recently communist countries, and countries that were under communist attack, such as a year in Nepal.
The communists won and somehow made Nepal even worse, which was pretty hard to do. But communist Beast can make a turd taste worse.
I have watched pandemics for years and read almost 60 books on the topic. And so, I masked up in early January. And since I read so much on pandemic and history of pandemic, I was well-informed that taking a rushed jab is pretty much like juggling chainsaws and whiskey bottles.
I bet a box of crackers that Alec Baldwin immediately took the jab. Because he does not study. He talks, and makes important moves before checking the runway.
PanFaWar: Pandemic, Famine, War. If you get a big dose of any one of these, you will get the other two. You can find plenty of examples in history books. In the Bible, for that matter. Our ancestors knew this.
In this case, the real Pandemic is false and coercive information.
I've seen many people surprised that they were being fired by military, police, fire departments, media. Or they say they think the powers that be will see the light. They already do see the light. You WILL be fired in many cases. In some cases, resistance will work.
But the idea is not to defund police 'to end brutality.' The idea is to empower real terrorists -- who will own the military, intelligence apparatus, police, and more. Remember Obama saying don't worry about metadata? Metadata is a large part of your recent life history. We kill people with metadata. I personally saw this many times in Iraq and Afghanistan. It's super easy.
Yes, they will ditch all the SEALs if they can get away with it. They already coerced military officers and NCOs to persuade people that women should be allowed into Ranger school and infantry, saying standards would never be dropped. The Beast lies. And The Beast fines people with medals who will lie for it, or it hands out medals to people who will do Bidding of the Beast.
Try my paradigm for a week. Look around. Does what you see make sense under my paradigm? There could be alternative explanations. We must adjust our collective paradigm until we are no longer surprised, and can predict what The Beast will do next. Because either we beat The Beast, or it will kill us.
Remember all my livestreams and posts in February 2020, when I was saying in clear terms that the life you once knew is over. 2019 is dead. We will never return to 2019 'normal.' The faster you can adjust to knew conditions, the better off your family will be.
And I would say many times in early 2020, that 2020 will be something most of us never experienced, and 2021 will be an entirely new world. I said this many times. And I will say this -- 2021 is just a warm up. 2022 will be far more intense.

Michael Yon's War

It began with a bridge. On the morning of March 1, a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device detonated on Tarnak River Bridge near Kandahar, Afghanistan, killing multiple civilians and one American soldier. While the destruction of a single bridge might ordinarily pose a mere inconvenience to the U.S. war machine, in the oppressive terrain of Afghanistan it became a logistical chokepoint, halting ground-based operations for days
War correspondent Michael Yon sought the answer to an uncomfortable question: who was responsible for the security of that bridge?
Yon is no ordinary reporter. A former Green Beret with U.S. Army Special Forces, he has spent more time embedded in Iraq and Afghanistan than any other journalist. His dispatches have produced some of the most memorable combat narratives of the war, and a large share of its most iconic images. Make no mistake; Michael Yon is not a dispassionate observer of the Columbia J-School variety. When writing about U.S. forces, he says "we." When writing about insurgents, he calls them terrorists or Taliban. And when reporting failures in the war effort, he names names. This has earned him both the respect and ire of senior military staff. In the case of the Tarnak River Bridge, the name most repeatedly mentioned as responsible for its security was Daniel Menard, the Canadian brigadier general in charge of Task Force Kandahar. Yon went public with this information.
In an effort to divert the finger of blame from a valued coalition partner, the military reeled and offered instead a bewildering explanation of which task force was responsible for the tiny bridge, and when. In an email reproduced by Yon, one officer summed the situation up as "a messy gray area that has changed hands a few times." Yon doubted the veracity of the official story, and dug in with continued criticism of General Menard, ultimately demanding his firing. While the bridge incident passed, Menard remained in Yon's crosshairs, and when the Canadian general accidentally discharged his weapon on post soon thereafter, Yon reported it as a symbol of the officer's incompetence. (General Menard was later found guilty of negligence in a court martial.)
In 2009, at the direction of President Obama, General Stanley McChrystal launched an assessment of the campaign in Afghanistan, and recommended a troop surge and counterinsurgency strategy to reverse deterioration in the region. Three years prior, with the world's attention focused on Iraq, Michael Yon was one of the first correspondents to report the tide in Afghanistan shifting to the Taliban's favor. As he described it, the country had devolved into a "consummate narco-state" and "a hunting lodge for our special operations forces." He added, "Since the Afghan campaign has been largely a special forces war from the beginning, we have been able to transition with great secrecy from near victory, to abysmal performance, to what has now become a sustainable human-hunting resort."
However, having reported first-hand the spiraling of Iraq into civil war, and witnessed the subsequent, successful troop surge under the aegis of President Bush and leadership of General David Petraeus, Yon expressed confidence in both McChrystal and the new Afghanistan strategy. This confidence was short lived.
There are conflicting stories about what happened next. His public feud against General Menard was not Michael Yon's first campaign against an ally. He'd previously called out British Minister of Defense Bob Ainsworth over his country's lack of in-theater air support. "Mr. Ainsworth is lying to the British public about the helicopter issue in Afghanistan. Mr. Ainsworth tells the British public that British soldiers have enough helicopters. British troops are suffering -- even dying -- for those lies. Mr. Ainsworth is, in effect, murdering British soldiers by not resourcing them." To be sure, alienating America's key partner in the coalition did not endear him to the commanding generals running the war. But from Yon's perspective, he was reporting simple truths and protecting the lives of soldiers in the field.
His next embed would prove to be his final in the region. Yon was assigned to the 5th Stryker Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, where he has a strong relationship with its command sergeant major, Robb Prosser. "I spent five months in combat with CSM Prosser in Iraq, and we were roommates in Afghanistan. CSM Prosser earned a Silver Star and I was feet away from him when he performed the actions that earned that honor. People who know me know that I remain ready to go." After three months with the 5/2, Yon received the news. According to a message he sent out on Facebook: "McChrystal's crew has spoken: Embed is ended. This comes from McChrystal's own spokesman (through one CPT Jane Campbell USN cc RADM Greg Smith and COL Wayne Shanks USA). This lends confirmation to ideas that the disembed came from McChrystal's crew. (If not before, 100% now.) McChrystal cannot be trusted to tell the truth about this war. Packing my bags."
The official reason for ending his embed was a simple go at fairness. In spite of a written agreement to remain with 5/2 until redeployment, Michael Yon had already been embedded far longer than most journalists could expect, conceive, or endure. With a backlog of over one hundred reporters eager to cover the war, a decision had to be made, and his time was simply up.
Yon disagrees. He questions the timing of his rescinded embed status, coming on the threshold of the most significant combat operation in theater since 9/11, and on the back of a series of setbacks by coalition forces. Marjah, Afghanistan, for example was to be a showcase of success as seen during the Iraq surge. "Those showcases had a dramatic positive effect in Iraq, and also at home in the United States. We saw success was possible." He continues, "General Petraeus had both sides of his mind working, and so when success began to happen the media was there to cover the good job." In the absence of success, Yon believes the military ended his embed to stifle an independent voice and steer coverage to a less experienced, more docile stenographer pool of reporters. "If McChrystal is perceived to fail in Kandahar, the Taliban will just about have us in media checkmate for 2011. This can have tremendous negative consequences and the Taliban leadership fully understands that."
Though he has relocated to Thailand to report on the civil unrest there, he still covers Afghanistan from afar and remains critical of General McChrystal's leadership. "Today, I do not trust McChrystal anymore than some people trust the New York Times, Obama or Bush. If McChrystal could be trusted, I would go back to my better life. McChrystal is a great killer but this war is above his head."
Some military bloggers believe Yon is lashing out spitefully, and that his words would be tempered and his outlook positive if he were still in-country. Some further suggest that he has simply spent too long in the combat zone, and has lost grip on reality. To be sure, neither side of the hyper-partisan blogosphere has much to gain by negative press coming from Afghanistan. On the left, failure would be a blow to "Obama's war," the "good war" to which the president has added nearly seventy thousand troops. On the right, failure would mar not only a war considered just, but also a neoconservative tent pole of democracy in the region. Yon dismisses most military blogs not written by embeds or troops in the field as political "milkookery."
The most pressing question, then, is can Michael Yon be trusted? His dispatches from Thailand have been acclaimed and widely read - certainly not the work of a man on the ledge. And history tends to vindicate Yon's judgement. Never afraid to put his reputation on the line, he was among the first to call Iraq a civil war in 2005, among the first to single out General Petreaus as the man to save the war, among the first to report the success of the Iraq surge, and among the first to report the collapsing campaign in Afghanistan. Yon's credibility was bolstered last week when his Canadian nemesis General Daniel Menard was relieved of command for an inappropriate relationship with a member of his staff, proof positive to Yon of his unsuitability for key leadership.
If Michael Yon was right about everything else, should his word not be heeded when he writes, "McChrystal is bent over the coffin of the Afghan war with a hammer in his hand and a mouth full of nails"? When asked for his thoughts on the general state of the war, he says one must be intuitive rather than deductive. "Innumerable wild cards are always flying and so the best that one can do is study hard and watch and listen and give it time to mix." If a reliance on feelings alone is hardly the metric from which one should draft a war plan, consider the recent words of General McChrystal. The purpose of the Marjah operation was to create an "irreversible feeling of momentum," but, "You don't feel it here but I'll tell you, it's a bleeding ulcer outside."
Yon believes the war can still be won, but that a change of command is in order. At this level of warfare, he says, "McChrystal is like a man who has strapped on ice skates for the first time. He might be a great athlete, but he's learning to skate during the Olympics." Yon adds that publicly denouncing the commanding general of a war is not an easy thing for him to do, especially considering it means crossing swords with General Petraeus and Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, two men he greatly admires. Indeed, if anyone can turn this war around, Yon believes it is General Petraeus. He concedes such a return to the battlefield is unlikely, and suggests another general whose name fewer people have heard. "General James Mattis from the Marines. I get a good feeling about Mattis but I don't know. General Petraeus is a known entity and he is solid gold."
Short of that, Yon's outlook is bleak. "Even if the President commits more forces [next year], they will not be effective until 2012. By that time, more allies likely will have peeled off, requiring us to commit even more forces to cover down. We lost crucial time in building the Afghan National Police and Afghan National Army and so forth, and today we are paying the price. This is not to mention that the Afghan government is sorry at best and criminal at worst."
He concludes, "The trajectory of this war leaves a sick feeling in my stomach. It's as if I've watched a space shuttle liftoff while sitting at launch control, with full knowledge that it will abort to the Indian Ocean. We are trying to reach orbit with insufficient fuel."
Presently, Michael Yon continues to cover the situation in Thailand. As long as General McChrystal is in charge, his days as an embedded reporter are finished, though he intends to return to Afghanistan independently in the near future.

The energy crisis, food shortages, and our ongoing illegal immigration disaster

“These famines that are building are biblical,” Michael Yon says. “I don’t use that word lightly. At this rate, the Bible is going to need a new chapter. It’s really that serious.”
In a recent episode of EpochTV’s “American Thought Leaders,” host Jan Jekielek speaks with Yon, a former Green Beret, writer, photographer, and long-time war correspondent. In his career, Yon has visited more than 80 countries to report firsthand on world events. He’s currently investigating the Netherlands and its farming crisis. Here, he discusses that country, the fossil fuel catastrophe, upcoming food shortages, and the unprecedented wave of illegal immigrants into the United States.
Jan Jekielek: Your focus has been on global security and understanding what’s happening in the world, because there does seem to be a significant shift, especially with the pandemic. Now, food security is becoming a serious issue. You’re in the Netherlands right now, so what are you seeing?
Michael Yon: The Netherlands is about to go into winter. Their energy prices are going through the roof, and most of the people don’t see the famine coming. The farmers are being destroyed, and the Netherlands is being brought to heel by the globalists. Some are resisting.
Mr. Jekielek: You’re saying the Dutch government has a globalist bent.
Mr. Yon: I wouldn’t say they just have a globalist bent. They are globalist. The farmers own about 62 percent of the land in the Netherlands, and this is the second-largest food exporter in the world, despite having fewer than 18 million people. The farmers are extraordinary. The government is forcing farms to close with the excuse that nitrogen is causing pollution.
When you take the most efficient farmers in the world, arguably, and you put them out of business because they’re polluting, who’s going to do the farming? The Indians? The Chinese? I don’t know. But the bottom line is, we’re going into a severe energy crisis which will lead to a food crisis as well.
People are going to freeze to death this winter. It’s very clear. And next year, we’re going to start to see profound food shortages, and this will drive more mass immigration. I was down in Darién Gap a few months ago, that jungle gap between Colombia and Panama, and they’re coming up in massive numbers: Africans, Asians, Pakistanis, and even mainland Chinese—people from more than 140 countries.
And our own government is increasing the migration flow. As the economies collapse and the food pressures increase, you’ll see Africa and Asia and maybe parts of Europe dumping out into South America and then going through the Darién Gap.
This is a big deal. We’re being completely invaded on the U.S. southern border. Everybody in Texas, Arizona, and New Mexico knows this. Here in the Netherlands, it’s very similar. It’s just on a different number scale because it’s a smaller country.
Mr. Jekielek: Are you saying the Netherlands government basically agrees ideologically with the World Economic Forum?
Mr. Yon: Absolutely. The World Economic Forum has nurtured this country. Of course, Brussels, its headquarters, is right next door. Things are really governed here by bureaucrats, and we don’t even know who they are.
It’s clear that the World Economic Forum has a massive influence in Canada, the United States, Japan, you name it. There are 27 countries in the European Union, and if Germany collapses, the European Union is certainly going to fall apart. And the situation is dire. I was recently in Germany and went to their equivalent of the Home Depot, OBI, and went to the wood section, where I was told “Ah, we can’t get any wood, and we don’t know when we’re going to get more.”
But most Germans don’t have fireplaces. They live in cities in apartment buildings often heated by natural gas. It’s a very serious situation.
Mr. Jekielek: There’s this huge focus right now on the Russia–Ukraine War, and you’re arguably the most embedded war correspondent in U.S. history, but you aren’t there. Why not?
Mr. Yon: That’s a minor battlefield compared to the food and migration issues.

Mr. Jekielek: You’re essentially arguing that none of this really had to happen, that this is all basically created by humans.
Mr. Yon: Knock out the gas and the energy, and agriculture’s going to go. This is clearly contrived, and this isn’t a conspiracy theory. The World Economic Forum is open about it. They say it in clear words.
Mr. Jekielek: What are they saying in clear words?
Mr. Yon: The Great Reset, reducing population on earth. The World Economic Forum doesn’t even hide that that’s what it’s doing.
Mr. Jekielek: You’ve spoken with a number of Dutch farmers. What are they saying?
Mr. Yon: Farmers are wed to the land. They are a backbone of culture. Farmers and religion entwined are a backbone of culture. If you’re trying to brainwash people and break them and divorce them from the land, you have to break the farmers’ backs. They’re trying that right now.
If they take out the farmers, the globalists are putting themselves into a position where they can control food production and distribution. Bill and Melinda Gates, by the way, have put $600 million into something called Picnic, a food distribution network here in the Netherlands.
The farmers are becoming more angry, and the general population is becoming so angry that the farmers are being knocked out of the saddle and the food production and land are being taken away.
Mr. Jekielek: In what scenario can these farmers actually win and continue what they’re doing?
Mr. Yon: As a war correspondent, I would say overthrow the government because that’s the only way that I see of doing it. I don’t see otherwise how they’re going to win with this government. Sri Lanka went down this same route, and the rest is history. We saw the mob swimming in the president’s swimming pool and sleeping in his bed.
Mr. Jekielek: Everything you’re describing makes me think of pandemic policy, which I think resulted in the biggest wealth transfer from the poor and middle classes to the elites in the history of the world. It had an unbelievable effect. Everything you’re describing is in the context of a couple of years of extremely restrictive, economically destructive policy that the world is still reeling from. One solution, I think, is simply to restart energy production in all these places where it’s possible, but it isn’t being done. Would you say that?
Mr. Yon: Absolutely. The natural gas has to flow. We’ve got to get these fertilizer plants going again. But we’ve already lost a huge amount of production. There’s been a flash, and we’re about to hear the boom. The crop reports in the United States should be out in a couple of weeks, and that may have a dramatic effect on food prices when people realize how short we are on food.
Mr. Jekielek: Following the worst of the pandemic, at some point, it dawned on me that we’re really never going back to what was before, that the situation has irrevocably changed.
Along with this recovery being attempted from the pandemic, food shortages basically mean a really difficult time that’s almost unavoidable. Is that what you’re saying?
Mr. Yon: Yes, I would say unavoidable.
Mr. Jekielek: It seems like we’ve crossed the Rubicon here. Is it possible to ever go back to how things looked pre-pandemic?
Mr. Yon: No. We’re going into a totally different state and there’s no turning back. Look at Sri Lanka; they’re resisting now, a little too late. Especially when you go into famine, there’s only a certain amount of time that you have while your energy is still high and you’re not malnourished, in which you can actually resist. At some point, you’re just too weak, and they’ve beaten you.
Mr. Jekielek: What do you think is the best-case scenario right now for society at large?
Mr. Yon: First, detach ourselves from globalism and the World Economic Forum and their influence, and that includes the United Nations and World Health Organization. Greatly reduce the size of the U.S. government and the bureaucracy. Become nationalist in our outlook.
Japanese need to be Japanese. Poles need to be Polish, or they’ll just be giving up their sovereignty. That’s why Europe is collapsing. They’ve surrendered their sovereignty to the people in Brussels, and it’s the people in Brussels who are leading us into a global catastrophe.
Individuals can prepare, too. Read five books on famine. Any five random books. OK, I’ll suggest one. Read “Red Famine: Stalin’s War on Ukraine” [by Anne Applebaum]. Then you’ll better understand what you need to do to prepare, because you can get through it if you know the challenges you’re going to face. It’s all written down. The people who wrote these books wrote them so we would read them.

Paradigms
You are at War.

Paradigms — if your working paradigm — your holistic view — of a situation is accurate, you should never be surprised and your working paradigm should be far more predictive than flipping a coin. Your predictive abilities should be far ahead of those of “expert analysts,” including most career intelligence and military people. If you are surprised by something, your paradigm must be tweaked or even discarded. If your paradigm is not predictive, it’s useless. Your paradigm must deliver mostly accurate results and be far ahead of most experts.
In my current working paradigm — proving very predictive — the US government is a mostly captured evil-circus. USG has been rebooted to commit demicide, among other things.
Take the death jabs as example. Death jabs clearly were a weapon.
CENTCOM Commander visits camps of displaced people in Syria ...
USA and most of the world is under severe attack by, in part, employment of industrial-scale information war designed to cause mass casualties and to create conditions to seize total control of the remnant. If my working paradigm is accurate, the US government will put the US military in such harm’s way that our military and civilians will suffer massive casualties.
The Beasts in charge may go straight to nukes. If not nukes, war will create cause for military draft. Millions of Americans will just say NO to draft. When Americans oppose draft, USG will have created excuse to draft massive numbers of illegal aliens. Americans will at first be happy to see Haitians and others carrying M-16s to “earn their citizenship defending America”. Until those aliens become death squads going door-to-door.
A war can create the casus belli needed to slaughter Iranians and others, and the draft to replace our military with uneducated people who never used a flush toilet and who will shoot Americans wholesale.
If my working paradigm is accurate, some version of this is likely.

In my view and in view of the thousands of years of historical perspective I conclude no, not really.
MY says :
"Saying Judaism and Zionism are the same is like saying Christianity and the Socialist party are the same.
Zionism is not a political and economic system.
It is merely the concept that Jews should live on a stretch of Earth from which they can form a political and an economic system of their choosing. Unlike, in the past living like nomads in every other country to which they must conform. And after hundreds of years being outcasts, persecuted and disliked.
This is my superficial cursory understanding of it all.
