If I grasp the essence correctly, they are being spectacularly stupid.  TRUMP & MUSK will be determining who is essential!!!

Cross these two off the list.

Cross these two off the list.

Both Arizona Dem Senators, a state Trump won, would rather shutdown the government than give Trump their votes.

As mentioned, who is the stupid party now?

Kind of self defeating for the pro government party to vote to shut the government down, especially when they don't have a budget of their own or the votes to pass it.

If all the waste, fraud and abuse that was taken out is put back in, then would they support it?

Trifecta ends soon, does anyone care?

Republicans will lose the house in less than 2 years, odds are. Apparently there are only three times the president's party didn't lose ground and this is the thinnest of majorities.

I guess it's all happening behind the scenes but I don't see anything happening with any kind of urgency. They passed a continuing resolution, continuing to fund a very bad budget.

One big beautiful bill they tell us, I will believe it when I see it, and when I see it passed. But who believes they will get it all right in one bill.

Apparently the filibuster is the big constraint. Only reconciliation bills can go through with a simple majority, no filibuster.

Yes they will make tax cuts permanent. But will they repeal the tax on inflation and take care of so many other problems all in one bill? Hard to believe.

Thank God!

How foolish was this to start with .  Who the heck cares about UN ambassador compared to this?

(1) TRUMP WITHDRAWS STEFANIK NOMINATION FOR U.N. AMB: President Donald Trump said he will withdraw Rep. Elise Stefanik’s (R-NY) nomination for U.N. Ambassador to protect the Republican House majority.

Why It Matters: Democrats are attempting to signal a political comeback after being locked out of power. Two of the current four vacant House seats were previously held by Democrats, so flipping Stefanik’s seat and the two Florida districts would not allow the Democrats to flip the House. Behind the scenes, Republicans are concerned that Democrats could flip Stefanik’s New York seat and narrow the GOP majority in the House after a string of Democrat special election wins. Republicans are likely to win two Florida House special elections next week. However, Democrats are pouring significant resources into the race and could still outperform in districts Trump won in 2024. - R.C.

(4) SCALISE SAYS RECONCILIATION BILL UNLIKELY BEFORE EASTER: House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-LA) said he will not commit to finishing the blueprint for the GOP’s reconciliation budget bill finished before Congress goes on a two-week Easter recess. Scalise said any Senate changes to the bill, which includes permanent tax cuts and will raise the debt ceiling by $4 trillion, will delay the process

In those two special elections in Florida Democrats had a 10 to one money advantage.

People on the right, if you don't want AOCs in the majority chairing at committees, we better step it up this time, earlier, more often and much bigger.  Okay?

The far left seems to always be energetic and motivated and loaded with cash. The right always seems to be complacent.

It's time to start making a decision. Are we going to let this one win quickly become ancient history and give power back to the left to restart more taxes, fake impeachments and phony new J6 committees?

Schiff up a creek without a paddle?

SCHIFF IN TROUBLE! 🚨 Serious allegations have emerged against California Congressman Adam Schiff, accusing him of mortgage fraud, voter fraud, and election-related misconduct. These claims, highlighted by Californian Chris Bish and Darren Ellis in a detailed draft report, raise substantial concerns about Schiff's residential and voter registration history, particularly his claims of primary residence in Maryland despite representing California in Congress.

In April 2023, an ethics complaint was initially filed against Schiff, alleging voter and election fraud due to dual residency claims in California and Maryland. Schiff, who was elected to Congress in 2000 representing California, purchased a Maryland home in 2003, which he declared as his primary residence. Despite this declaration, Schiff continued voting and maintaining political representation in California.

The report presented by Bish and Ellis points to specific acts that may constitute mortgage fraud under Maryland Code §7-401. Schiff refinanced his Maryland property multiple times (in 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2013), consistently declaring it as his primary residence, thereby potentially obtaining advantageous mortgage rates. During a 2009 House Ethics investigation, Schiff acknowledged this issue as an error and repaid the related tax exemptions. This admission, according to the Bish-Ellis report, may suggest intentional wrongdoing consistent with mortgage fraud.

Notably, similar allegations have led to serious legal consequences for others, such as former Baltimore prosecutor Marilyn Mosby, recently convicted of mortgage fraud, and New York Attorney General Letitia James, who is currently facing similar accusations.

Further compounding these issues, Schiff and his wife, Eve, reportedly sold their California residence in May 2003 before buying the Maryland home the following month. From 2003 to 2009, despite primarily living in Maryland, they remained registered voters in California without maintaining a valid California domicile. California Elections Code clearly states that an individual who establishes domicile in another state forfeits their California domicile and related voting rights. Yet Schiff continued to represent California in Congress during this period, potentially violating California Election Codes (§349, §18203, and §18560).

Additionally, Schiff’s purchase of a small condominium in Burbank, California, in 2009 raised further suspicions. The property, described as having just one bedroom and bathroom, appeared insufficient for a family of four, further calling into question the legitimacy of Schiff’s claimed California domicile.
These allegations also involve charges of ineligible voting, as Schiff and his wife are alleged to have participated in absentee voting in California while residing in Maryland, an action explicitly prohibited by California Election Code §18578.

The gravity of these allegations underscores the need for a thorough investigation by authorities to determine if Schiff committed election fraud, mortgage fraud, or voter fraud. The findings outlined by Chris Bish and Darren Ellis have ignited significant concern regarding the legality of Schiff’s residential and voter registration actions over nearly two decades.

Marc: Just a FB post lacking citations, but it smells like the same tactic as the one being used against Leticia James.

Is this the result of new deep dive research capabilities of AI?

Odd that the first sentence says:
"Serious allegations have emerged against California Congressman Adam Schiff..."

He is a Senator now.  The error detracts from credibility.

1BR, 1 bath Calif home is suspicious, yes, but his kids are in their 20s.. and he works mostly in Washington.

Really lives in Maryland (DC)? Um, Californians sent him there.

My first time ever defending Adam Schiff.

But still, if the assertions are true, he has either violated CA or MD law.

Yes.

(Two places that won't prosecute or convict him.)

Shoot, my first try at bipartisanship failed!

US senator from California, of course he has to vote in California (absentee). And he has to maintain a (fake) domicile there.

He told the mortgage company the house he really lives in is his primary residence.

"California Elections Code clearly states that an individual who establishes domicile in another state forfeits their California domicile and related voting rights."

(If there isn't, there should be some kind of exception for politicians sent 3000 miles away for official business.)

I see the contradiction but don't they all have that problem? Was he supposed to pay extra for the mortgage and say the house where he lives year round is non owner occupied?

Just saying it's not my main issue with Adam Schiff.

I see some other problems here. Why isn't the capital closer to the center of the country? We aren't 13 east coast colonies anymore. Why is Congress year-round? Maybe they should meet once a year (and pass fewer laws) .
