Graceland being sold
« Reply #102 on: May 21, 2024, 06:51:50 AM »
reason I post here is I was there as a visitor - as a benefit for going to the Asheville NC Gilder Tech Report meeting circa 1999.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/music/celebrity/elvis-presley-s-home-graceland-to-be-sold-off-at-foreclosure-auction/ss-BB1mM2gh?ocid=msedgntp&pc=DCTS&cvid=fa9cd6bb7d48471cbd7af7e41d3cc8a1&ei=12

I recall standing next to Carver Mead looking at an exhibit of sequin jump suits Elvis wore during his shows.   :-o

He was buried with some relatives in a small plot next to the house.
There was something touching about that.

We also went to the Memphis Fedex facility which had its own airport.

About 9 months later came the tech crash of 2000.

yes probably a long way off, but it is not only a threat to bitcoin.
it is a threat to civilization.

I don't know any site or org that is keeping track of this . Plus who knows what the Reds are doing on their end.

Will see if I can research (google) anyone / place that has more info on this.

Zacks report on Quantum

I didn't read the whole thing and can't vouche for it.

But I did find this portion interesting though I am not sure I believe its real effectiveness going forward.  Does not really make sense to me that this would/could work but of course I am not a physicist .  I did once get the highest grade in my high school physics class with a 98 score - the highest they would give at the time!

And a B and then A in college physics  :-D

"In February 2024, Apple announced, "the new state of the art in quantum-secure messaging at scale." Apple's new post-quantum cryptographic (PQC) protocol, PQ3, is designed to protect iMessages from attacks by quantum computers. PQ3 uses a key encapsulation mechanism (KEM) called Kyber to establish a shared secret between two parties. The protocol is intended to provide confidentiality and post-compromise security. Apple's iOS 17.4 update includes PQ3.

This is the potential/realized power of QC in cybersecurity and cryptography. Apple doesn't play around when it comes to security or incorporating new technologies. We should all be paying attention."

2nd post: Seems like a lot of books on Quantum many for us beginners

Just too early to tell who the winner will be.  And it still remains it may not even be feasible in the long run.   I day traded some IONQ and IBM stock.
As for others like the big shots NVDA, Alphabet, Apple, TSM, and of course MSFT (trying to keep their asses in the game) who knows?  But we got to get their before the Reds if we can keep them from stealing it.

Quantum mass hysteria beginning

Hard to sort at total BS from semi realistic venture expectations

People and companies making new claims every day now.

Have no idea who (if anybody or country) will win.

https://www.yahoo.com/tech/psiquantum-plans-build-one-world-110000428.html

Surely this will be like GG stocks - many will soar and 90 % + will crash and burn.  Remember the likes of terayon or conexant or terabeam or others.  Even national semiconductor .

Ride the wave for now with small amounts seems ok.

Me -  we need to do this in 10 yrs not 15 to 30.  We are fighting hundreds of thousands or more Red CLONES all sitting their feverishly working and pecking on their keyboards like woodpeckers searching out ways to destroy us through technology.

An analogy would be -
Our couwardly leaders  who put off Soc Sec reform etc - oh we are good for another decade or whatever - so do nothing all the while the problem gets worse.   Lets think ahead like Reagan and his space program.  Or JFK putting a target of getting man on moon within the decade.

We don't have enough stem graduates -

I am not sure I believe the hype.  Plus why can't we steal THEIR tech like they do to us?
