Also, what is the site for Kari Lake for Gov of AZ?

And name and site for Gov of WI.  I gather that Johnson is looking pretty solid, but the gov race could go either way.

Never safe until it's over! Johnson is looking good but not safe especially in the context opponent openly wants to take down capitalism.

G M:  "imagine that the red wave isn't cheated out of existence, what happens?"

Not paradise on earth but something better than the alternative.  Many of these contenders are Trump picked.  To some extent that gets you support for the good policies without (all) the personality flaws of him.  Except for maybe Joe O'Dea, these are not more Susan Collins...  But getting any red Senator in a blue state is a thorn in the Biden Dem operation.

In the short term, we gain some power of the purse.  The 87,000 new deep state agents program gets stopped, I believe.  That is life changing for many of us.

Let's get some more names on this list.

Let's knock Keith Ellison out of elected office:

If memory serves, there is an offer on the table to match donations to Johnson for Senate from WI?  What is the URL for that?

https://www.ronjohnsonforsenate.com/

Yes I would like to match all the above with a second round.  Cheaper than an innocent man needing a tax attorney to fight Dem IRS expansion.

Local MN conservative radio considers Ron Johnson our adopted US Senator since Amy Klobuchar and Tina chop shop Smith of "Planned Parenthood" fame don't represent us, and western Wisconsin is part of the twin cities media market.  I didn't realize (or forgot) Ron Johnson grew up in the twin cities and was a classmate of mine in the business school at the Univ of MN.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ron_Johnson_(Wisconsin_politician)

He is one of the unsung heroes in Washington.  In a divided state he knocked Russ Feingold out, a far Left Paul Wellstone clone, didn't become a McCain or Flake, is pursuing FBI truth etc, and follows conservative principles - unapologetically.  We could use 51 or 60+  like him.  Must keep him!

His opponent in his own words:
We need to "stymie capitalism".  Right out of Chavez, Orwell, Marx, Alinsky playbook.

C'mon everybody, choose a side, jump in, make a difference:

ACTION items, 1 more thing, STATE LEGISLATURES
« Reply #108 on: October 07, 2022, 06:54:29 AM »
In the constitution, your local legislator and state senator or whatever are who sets the election rules and so many other things.  With internet search I found the most contested races in my state, their rating and funding.  Local representatives need money for yard signs?  No, it's internet targeted advertising.  ALL of these close races had outside Dem funding of nearly 100k each.  All far exceeded R funding which look like just small contributors.

We need to do better and start taking this threat seriously, but in the meantime we need a lot more small contributors.

Try looking your state up here.

Gubernatorial race becomes toss-up with 3 candidates

Republican Party sees chance to flip Oregon

BY KERRY PICKET THE WASHINGTON TIMES

The GOP sees an opportunity to flip the governorship in deep-blue Oregon, as its nominee runs on a law-and-order platform aiming to become the first Republican to head the state since the 1980s.

Republican Christine Drazan has been narrowly leading Democrat Tina Kotek in recent polls, thanks partly to third-party candidate Betsy Johnson, who left the Democratic Party, and partly to the unpopularity of outgoing Democratic Gov. Kate Brown.

Further boosting Ms. Drazan, Oregon’s wealthiest man, Nike co-founder Phil Knight, shifted his support to the Republican and donated $1 million to her campaign.

Ms. Drazan’s campaign has attacked Ms. Kotek over her positions on law enforcement.

In July 2020, during riots in Portland, Ms. Kotek criticized Mayor Ted Wheeler and the city’s commissioner of police for officers’ use of tear gas against protesters.

Ms. Kotek has focused her campaign, instead, on support for a gun control ballot measure, the only one of its kind this election cycle.

The measure would require a permit to purchase any gun and also ban magazines over 10 rounds, with exemptions only granted to current owners and members of law enforcement and the military.

A permit applicant must complete a credentialed firearm safety course, pay a fee, give personal information, fingerprints, photograph and pass a criminal background check. Her position distinguishes her sharply from both Ms. Johnson and Ms. Drazan, who each have an “A” rating from the National Rifle Association and oppose the ballot measure.

Ms. Kotek’s camp also responded by hammering Ms. Drazan over her pro-life position and warns that Oregonians will lose abortion access if Ms. Drazan is elected.

Ms. Drazan, however, has insisted throughout the campaign that since abortion is legal in Oregon, she would follow the law if elected.

The Washington Times reached out to the Drazan camp but did not immediately hear back.

Oregon voters rate violent crime and homelessness as the state’s most pressing issues according to a poll released last week by The Oregonian.

When asked how important crime is to their decision in the governor’s race, 93% said it is important, including 70% who called it “very important.”

Four recent polls by the Oregonian/ DHM Research, Clout Research, Nelson Research and Emerson all show Ms. Drazan ahead with just over five weeks until Election Day.

Though all four polls show Ms. Drazan in the lead, none do so by a statistically significant amount and they also show the impact of Ms. Johnson’s thirdparty candidacy.

The Real Clear Politics average of the four recent surveys has Ms. Drazan at 35.7%, with Ms. Kotek at 33.3% and Ms. Johnson at 17.7%.

In a statement to The Washington Times, Ms. Johnson disputed criticism she is playing a spoiler in the election.

“I love Oregon too much to surrender to cynicism. We may be playing from behind, but so is Oregon,” she said. “I’m not running for Miss Congeniality, I intend to hold Tina Kotek accountable for her dangerous, far-left record and I won’t stop fighting for Oregon’s future until the last vote is counted.”

Political handicappers at the Cook Political Report and the University of Virginia’s Center for Politics have rated the race as a “tossup” since August.

Should Ms. Drazan win, she would be the first GOP governor elected since Republican incumbent Victor Atiyeh won reelection in 1982.

All three women vying for the governor’s office have served in the state legislature.

Most recently, Ms. Kotek led the Democratic majority in the state house as its speaker, while Ms. Drazan led its GOP minority. Ms. Johnson served terms as a Democrat in both chambers of the legislature during the 00s but hasn’t held office recently.

Each campaign managed to stay competitive against the other by racking up millions in donations from their respective party apparatuses and corporate donors.

According to recent campaign filings, Ms. Johnson’s total fundraising hit $16.2 million — $2.6 million more than Ms. Kotek and $3.4 million more than Ms. Drazan.

Despite her lesser standing in the polls and absence of majorparty support, Ms. Johnson has outspent both women by $4.3 million, with help from donors like Nike’s co-founder Phil Knight and Timber company heirs Kathleen Jones-McCann.

Yes.  I took that to mean someone else in the Republican primary, hopefully a good one.  He might be another Susan Collins et al but Colo is no red state anymore.  If O'Dea wins, R's probably have 53 or more.

Murkowski in Alaska looks like she's losing to real Republican Kelly Tshibaka.  Then there's that ranked choice bs.  We'll see.  Mike Lee in some trouble with McMuffin in Utah.  Your NC seat (Budd) is looking better.

Alpha News/Trafalgar Group*   10/17 - 10/19   1091 LV   46   46   Tie

RCP Ranking: Toss Up
RCP Projection: Dem Hold"

Jensen campaign reports it as Republican leading 46.3 - 45.8.

I'm so old I remember when Minnesota was a majority Democrat state.

Hey G M, less cheating across the fruited plain when the Governor orders the ballot boxes secured and monitored.
FYI Crafty, I gave to the NC Senate race.

Dem incumbent Tim Walz has all the media and ten times the money and it's tied?

Plus Walz has THIS:  https://www.startribune.com/vice-president-kamala-harris-to-visit-minnesota-for-rally-on-saturday/600216621/  Because he still needs more money...

I just did another round of smaller donations to all the races I consider close.
Senate, Governor races, plus state and local offices.

For the record, I have never given to a solicitation for money.  Only given by going directly to their websites.

Also, I put in a false phone number and wish I had set up an mail address used only for politics.

Nice thing about gmail is they put all right leaning messages in junk mail.    (

ACTION items, One Last Thing, Herschel
« Reply #125 on: November 28, 2022, 08:17:20 AM »
https://www.teamherschel.com/

Despite the silence on conservative media and the defeated pessimism of almost all around us, THIS ELECTION STILL MATTERS.

The difference between Rafael Warnock (of the squad) and Herschel Walker of team liberty to represent the state of Georgia FOR SIX YEARS (or forever) is the difference of turning the ship around sinking it.

I gave an amount this morning less than what I gave before, but if everyone who cares gave any amount, that would be a lot of money.

I don't know if this helps (money does help), but I don't want to be moping around with regrets afterward.

87,000 new IRS agents will eat up my money faster than giving to a few freedom loving candidates every so often.

Doug's path to victory in the US Senate 2022:  Hershel Walker wins in Georgia and Joe Manchin jumps for his own survival.  That makes 51.

Second path to victory:  Whatever the score, the candidates, the odds, or even the issues in the 2024 and 2026 Senate races, who holds Georgia in this runoff is as critical as any of those multizillion dollar races coming up.

Third path to victory:  There are 20 or fewer totally liberal leftist states that we cannot win and close to 30 that arguably have a conservative majority and solid conservative tradition.  Win all Senate races in just those 30 states and that makes 60 votes in the US Senate, enough to stop everything bad they can think of.  That theory is moot when you lose races in places like Missouri, Montana, Ohio, Utah or Georgia.

I did not read Mark Levin's book 'Liberty and Tyranny', but if you aren't going to win with liberty, you are going to live under tyranny.  Look around the world and throughout history, I wonder what regrets people had for not standing up stronger against statist tyranny when they perhaps had the chance.  Even the Chinese and Iranians are starting to stand up to tyranny.  When will Americans do that?
