Sorry, I can't solve that either.

Differing opinions about whether Taiwan is worth going into full scale war over - and whether the Trump Hegseth military budget is aimed at being prepared to do that.

My view is yes.  China cannot have Taiwan.  Not is its goals are expansionism - and that's the only scenario where they would do that.

'Strategic ambiguity' is the lowest form of deterrence (other than no deterrence).  Mutually assured destruction is perhaps the second lowest form.

South China Sea, is the water between China and Taiwan 'International Waters' after China takes over Taiwan?

If China projects its power outward from Taiwan, the next land mass it hits is California.

As it sits, if South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Philippines, Vietnam side with us, and vice versa we support them, PRC is somewhat surrounded and contained.

It has been noted on the forum, but in most of media and the world did anyone notice (or care) that Hong Kong, a very amazing place with history and culture, is gone.  Taken by evil PRC.  Freedom gone.  Elected government gone.  Independence gone. So-called two systems, a promise made, gone.  Free speech gone.  Dissent gone.  Hong Kong was a model of freedom.

We want them to know, if you start this you will fail.
