That was very funny.

Could have used some subtitle citations here and there.

Depression Cure?
« Reply #257 on: May 01, 2024, 09:10:13 PM »
The Devil’s Dictionary by Ambrose Bierce is one of my all time favorites and helped turn me into a gleeful cynic. Working from memory here, but one of my favorite entries goes something like:

Riot (n). A popular form of entertainment put on for the local militia at the expense of innocent bystanders.

How it that for encapsulating a massive amount of cynicism in few words?

Anyhoo, looks to me we are about to see a corollary, and I suspect the results will be greeted heartily by rank and file Americans that have had enough of “Progressive” tantrums as they can stand:

" Riot (n). A popular form of entertainment put on for the local militia at the expense of innocent bystanders "

I might add that for the PLO rioters who are not outside infiltrators and are really students,
it is a popular form of social entertainment for them as well.  I could have thought of better ways to be interactive and have fun then this nonsense.

What a GREAT analogy!

This could be our response to the endless use of label - convicted felon.

So was Mandela!    8-)

Right!  Nelson Mandela, "convicted felon"!

On the other hand, they will be ready with the old Lloyd Benson line:

'I knew Nelson Mandela. Nelson Mandela was a friend of mine, Donald Trump, you are no Nelson Mandela.'

There can be an answer to that too.  'No I'm not. Nelson Mandela was also persecuted.  Released from jail he became the leader of his nation, ended apartheid and freed the people who were so wrongly held back.  But he also espoused Marxism and other Democratic Party themes that led his country to disaster.  I want to lead all Americans to freedom and the nation to prosperity and greatness.'   :-D

good point

Trump makes the point and the LEFT will be with smirks and mocks
saying "TRUMP NOW COMPARES HIMSELF TO MANDELA!"  hahahahaha
colbert and the other night nuts will go down the attempt at humor road with this.

We have to cut them off beforehand.

Their tactics are quite obvious clear and predictable now.

NEW: Trump campaign responds re: Vice Presidential debates.
“We don’t know who the Democrat nominee for Vice President is going to be, so we can’t lock in a date before their convention. To do so would be unfair to Gavin Newsom, JB Pritzker, Gretchen Whitmer, or whoever Kamala Harris picks as her running mate.”

Better than Beating Your Head Against It, I Suppose
« Reply #280 on: August 05, 2024, 08:49:05 AM »
A female   journalist heard about a very old Jewish man who had been going to the Western Wall to pray, twice a day, every day, for a long, long time.
So she went to check it out. She went to the Western Wall and there he was, walking slowly up to the holy site.
She watched him pray and after about 45 minutes, when he turned to leave, using a cane and moving very slowly, she approached him for an interview.
"Pardon me, sir, what's your name?"
"Morris Feinberg," he replied.
"Sir, how long have you been coming to the Western Wall and praying?"
"For about 60 years."
"60 years! That's amazing! What do you pray for?"
"I pray for peace between the Christians, Jews and the Muslims."
"I pray for all the wars and all the hatred to stop."
"I pray for all our children to grow up safely as responsible adults and to love their fellow man."
"I pray that politicians tell us the truth and put the interests of the people ahead of their own interests."
"How do you feel after doing this for 60 years?"
"Like I'm talking to a fucking wall"

Minnesota has been a wonderland at the presidential level. Think of it. Harold Stassen. Hubert Humphrey. Walter Mondale. It's almost like why wouldn't you pick a guy from Minnesota, I ask you.

Shoot, I missed Harold Stassen on my list.  I guess he was a pretty good Governor before he became a joke as a perennial Presidential candidate with zero support.

Democrats had high national hopes for Humphrey's son Skip Humphrey who as MN Attorney General successfully sued the tobacco companies.  He was on the fast track upward with national fame - until he lost the Governor's race to Jim Janos aka Jesse Ventura.

Minnesotans I guess just don't catch on nationally, except maybe Prince Nelson of Minneapolis

Stern Warning
« Reply #295 on: October 15, 2024, 04:02:35 PM »
Greg Gutfeld roasts Howard Stern's feminine interview with Kamala Harris:

"I mean, talk about a transition. On Tuesday, he conducted an interview with Kamala Harris that was so simpering and feminine. I got my period while listening to it. So a guy who's supposed to be funny for a living now claims her candidacy is too important to joke about. This is a guy who once joked right after the Columbine massacre that the killers should have raped the students before killing them.  Not that I like that Stern, but this pendulum swing from saying the most tasteless thing in the universe to putting your balls in a tic tac container. You got to wonder what's going on here. It's striking that the king of the most misogynistic humor ever now turns into a breathless over a progressive, hopelessly shallow candidate."

Howard Stern went from mocking prostitutes to promoting one for president.

Gaffigan at the Al Smith dinner
« Reply #299 on: October 18, 2024, 10:18:41 AM »

Commedian Jim Gaffigan, saying, “President Trump talked about migrants taking cats and eating them. So if you’re keeping track at home, this is the second time grabbing a kitty has been part of a campaign.” After a shocked, awkward response from the room, he said, “You know, I was going to leave that one out.”
