Maine: House Democrats Kill Bill to Ban Female Genital Mutilation (FGM)

Maine: House Democrats Kill Bill to Ban Female Genital Mutilation (FGM)
APRIL 23, 2018 / CREEPING

Source: Maine House Democrats Vote to Allow Female Genital Mutilation – Maine First Media

Following swift action from Maine House Democrats on the last day of the legislative session, there will be no Female Genital Mutilation ban in the Pine Tree State.

After months of pretending they wanted to stop the barbaric ritual child abuse of FGM, the Democrat caucus showed their true colors on the issue late Wednesday night.

By a final vote of 77-70, the House killed the FGM ban in a mostly party-line vote. Rep. Cathy Nadeau (D-Winslow) was the only Democrat who crossed the aisle to protect young daughters of immigrants in Maine from this brutal abuse.

You can see a full roll-call vote by clicking here.

Republican Rep. Heather Sirocki of Scarborough points out Democrats voted to kill an FGM Ban in April, which is Child Abuse Prevention Month. And in fact, they did it on the “Week of the Young Child.”

Rep. Sirocki says Maine House Democrats initially decided to table the bill with the intent of letting it cowardly die without the courtesy of a vote. However, supporters of the ban made their voices heard.

“Playing games with a child abuse bill is shameful,” Rep. Sirocki said. “Finally, after hours of phone calls from all over the country and state urging Speaker Gideon to relent, she brought the bill to the Floor at 10:30 pm. The Democrats like to talk about victims’ rights, women’s rights, child advocacy, human rights, and justice — but their votes on this horrific form of child abuse do not back up all of their talk.”

The same FGM Ban bill killed in the House, passed the State Senate 30-5, with only the most far-Left Senators voting against it.

But late Wednesday night the show was over.

House Democrats threw a tantrum in the wake of Republicans voting against extending the legislative session. The FGM ban was one of several critical bills Democrats killed in a matter of hours. In fact, it was jaw-dropping to watch, after months of little action from the House, Democrat “leadership” managed to pull together votes to kill a handful of good bills in just a matter of hours. The breakneck speed makes one question what “leadership” has been doing all session.

To learn more about the horrific abuse, listen to FGM survivor, F.A. Cole’s testimony in front of the CJPS Committee. Cole fights through a panic attack to share her story with Maine Legislators in the hope it would save young daughters of Maine immigrants from suffering through the same terrifying experience.

Zuhdi Jasser, a Syrian-American and founder and president of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy, condemned the mosques for treating Nabulsi as mainstream.

"It is incumbent upon every American Muslim especially the Syrian community to marginalize and defeat the ideas of radical Islamism peddled by the likes of Nabulsi," Jasser said.

*So, who expects that to happen?

NY Grants to Islamo Fascists

New York’s Disastrous Grant for Organizations Linked to Islamic Extremism
by Oren Litwin
The Daily Caller
October 05, 2018

https://www.meforum.org/articles/2018/new-york-s-disastrous-grant-for-organizations-link

On Aug. 21, the New York City Council announced $250,000 in grants made to 14 Muslim community organizations in collaboration with the New York Immigration Coalition. Alarmingly, three of the grant recipients are linked to Islamic extremism — the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), the Muslim American Society (MAS), and the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA).

Worse, it seems that the ICNA in particular plans to use the money for religious proselytizing rather than civic improvement

The grant announcement was made at ICNA’s headquarters in Jamaica, Queens, after the Jumu’ah prayer service. Present were the young speaker of the city council, Corey Johnson, and Councilman Daneek Miller, the sole Muslim member of the council.

Councilman Miller is no stranger to the ICNA; his campaign website prominently features a photo of him speaking at the ICNA mosque.

ICNA was established in 1971, ostensibly as a “non-ethnic, non-sectarian” grassroots organization, with the aim of seeking the “establishment of the Islamic system of life as spelled out in the Qur’an.”

In fact, it functions as the American arm of the Pakistani Islamist group Jamaat e-Islami (JI). Indeed, ICNA’s international charity, Helping Hand for Relief and Development (HHRD), works closely with JI in Pakistan. Worse, in 2017 HHRD openly worked with the “political” wing of the murderous terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba.

JI has long been linked to political violence, notably during the Bangladesh War of Independence in 1971 — during which Pakistan employed JI groups as death squads.

ICNA’s former Vice President Ashraf Uzzaman Khan was convicted in absentia by Bangladesh in 2013 of being part of the Pakistan-backed Al-Badr death squad, and personally murdering seven professors and intellectuals.

The radical literature of JI’s founder, Sayyid Abul ‘Ala Maududi, is repeatedly emphasized in the 2010 ICNA members’ handbook, which explicitly discusses ICNA’s true goal of setting up a worldwide Islamic state via proselytizing campaigns.

Unsurprisingly, ICNA secretary general Muhammad Rahman said that ICNA’s portion of the grant money would fund “community engagement activities;” he specifically mentioned “Iftar in the Park” and outdoor prayer services.

To pay for prayer services with a government grant is a blatant violation of constitutional law, all the more so when it is to proselytize.

MAS, meanwhile, has been identified in courtroom testimony as the main U.S. front group for the Muslim Brotherhood. And CAIR was founded by the leaders of the Islamic Association for Palestine, a front group for Hamas, following the 2007 Holy Land Foundation trial featuring strong evidence that CAIR was still coordinating with Hamas. The FBI subsequently cut off all contact with CAIR.

CAIR’s New York chapter has been particularly open in its support for terrorism. Former executive director Cyrus McGoldrick has a history of inflammatory rhetoric, including retweeting a statement from Hamas leader Khaled Meshal mocking those who object to its rocket attacks on civilians, and other tweets quoting Hamas slogans.

CAIR-NY board member Lamis Deek publicly praised a Palestinian drive-by murderer, calling him a “martyr,” and bluntly stating that the “Zionist Israeli government does not have the right to exist.” She was even more explicit in 2009: “n choosing Hamas, what [the Palestinian people] chose was one united Palestinian state on all of the 1948 territories from the north to the very south.… [And] we support their right to liberation from violent colonialism.”

New York’s new grant program likely reflects the increasing influence that CAIR has in City Hall. CAIR-NY President Zead Ramadan is a significant donor to New York politicians including Mayor Bill DeBlasio and Faiza Ali, the director of Speaker Johnson’s office and formerly the community affairs director of CAIR-NY (as well as a civic engagement director for the Arab American Association of New York, which also received grant money).

Speaker Johnson, a councilman from Manhattan, also owes his current position to the support of the Queens and Bronx Democratic machine (to which he has directed considerable pork); this may help to explain his willingness to associate himself with Queens-based groups like ICNA.

It is shocking that an effort to strengthen local Muslim communities is being exploited to fund groups linked to extremism. Sleazy pay-for-play politics do not excuse such reckless policy, nor do they excuse violating the Constitution by funding religious services.

If New Yorkers want to help Muslim communities, giving money to CAIR, ICNA, and MAS should be the last thing they do.

Somali mob swarms MN Amusement Park on Law Enforcement Day, Media ignores

You Didn’t Hear About This Mob Attack in Minnesota
BY NANCY HARTEVELT KOBRIN Wednesday, November 7, 2018

On Saturday, September 22, 2018, while the world focused on the tragedy in Iran of the Ahvaz military parade attack carried out by ISIS, a mob of Somali Muslim men and boys rushed the entrance to Valleyfair, a family amusement park that had set aside the day to honor law enforcement in Minnesota.

The mob overcame security, jumping fences avoiding metal detectors while bringing in weapons. It was a direct, premeditated attack on police and security. Backup had to be called in along with fire trucks, ambulances and even a police helicopter. This attack should be understood as a “dry run” test (in counterterrorism parlance).
...
The mob action occurred even after the Somali community had just enjoyed their very own special Somali day with reduced ticket prices at Valleyfair in July!

The incident has gone virtually unreported in the mainstream media. This shows that a vocal number of troublemakers  have been effective in paralyzing honest reporting concerning the deepening of Somali violence in Minnesota.

The media is afraid to report the truth. Allegedly, the reason being given is that Minnesota is facing midterm elections and four Muslims are running for government positions.

Of note in the running is Keith Ellison, the Democratic nominee for attorney general (who is not Somali). Ellison, who is under investigation for domestic violence, formerly associated with the Nation of Islam, a virulently anti-Semitic organization. (When I did prison interviews in Minneapolis of Somalis, Sudanese, African Americans and others, it was the former “Nation of Islamers” who told me that they had “upgraded” to the extremist Sunni Wahhabi Islam. They were among the most violent in the jail. That was in 2005.)

Not to be forgotten in this election is Ilhan Omar, who may have committed perjury when she married her brother in order to obtain a green card for him. He now lives in the United Kingdom. Oddly, she has never been investigated with regards to this issue, to the best of my knowledge, even though she is running for the U.S. Congress (for Keith Ellison’s old seat).
.,..
The Somali mob at Valleyfair started fights, rampaging and looting among other things. Adults and children were terrified. A woman posted that she feared she would never get out of the parking lot alive. Indeed, families set out for a day of fun only to return home with traumatized children.

This mob behavior is a classic example of an enraged shame/honor group bent on destruction and obliteration of everything in its path. Since the media has failed to cover this story because of concerns for “offending” the Somali community, the media has unwittingly primed the pump for more severe violence in the future.

The worst thing that can be done when dealing with such groups is to ignore their violence and cover up what went on.

WSJ: Islam in Texas

The Heart of Texas?
Shahid Shafi knows America better than many other Republicans.

The midterm election results in Texas weren’t exactly an occasion for Republican whoopin’ and hollerin’. Ted Cruz narrowly held his Senate seat against Beto O’Rourke, and previously secure House Members such as John Culberson and Pete Sessions lost in the suburbs. We’re going to guess the last thing most Texas Republicans thought they needed now is a controversy over Shahid Shafi.

Dr. Shafi came to the U.S. from Pakistan in 1990, is a surgeon, and is vice chairman of the Republican Party in Tarrant County, which includes Fort Worth. A faction of local Republicans are seeking a recall vote next month to turn him out of his party job. The excuse is that Islam is in contradiction with American values and the party.

That this faction’s initiative is an ugly post-election look for the party isn’t lost on its leadership. Dr. Shafi has received support from Senator Cruz, Texas land commissioner George P. Bush and the county chairman who appointed him.

Dr. Shafi for his part isn’t put off by the minirevolt. He says, “Anyone wondering if one can be a practicing Muslim, which I am, a good American, which I am, and a Republican, which I am—I’m a living example that one can be all three.”

We hope he wins the recall vote.

Strange how many converts to islam miss out on it's inherently peaceful nature. Oh, a lot of those raised in it also seem to be unaware of how very peaceful islam is.

It's almost as if all the experts that have been explaining the inherently peaceful nature of islam to us since 9/11/01 aren't telling us the truth.

Un-possible! They have CREDENTIALS!

MEF wins in lawsuit against CAIR in San Diego CA

CAIR Loses a Round in San Diego to MEF-Funded Lawsuit
March 20, 2019
https://www.meforum.org/58012/cair-loses-round-mef-funded-lawsuit

PHILADELPHIA – March 20, 2019 – The Council on American-Islamic Relation's (CAIR) ubiquitous presence in the San Diego Unified School District is over, thanks in part to the Middle East Forum.

A settlement in the federal lawsuit against the District, substantially funded by MEF, ends the District's "anti-Islamophobia initiative," which: (i) singled out Muslim students for special protections; and (ii) empowered Islamist CAIR to change the District's curriculum to portray Islam more favorably.

The District enacted its initiative in 2017 at the behest of CAIR, which claimed that "Islamophobia" was sweeping through schools after the November 2016 elections. According to the Freedom of Conscience Defense Fund – which brought the lawsuit on behalf of five San Diego families – CAIR activists were teaching schoolchildren "how to become allies to Muslim students" and conducting Islamic education workshops for teachers, among other inequities.

Under the terms of the court settlement:

•   "Educators should treat each religion with equal respect, with the time and attention spent discussing each religion being proportionate to its impact on history."
•   "Educational material on religious subjects must be neutral and may not be presented in a manner that promotes one religion over another."
•   "Educators or other staff sponsoring guest speakers at District events must ask them not to use their position or influence on students to forward their own religious, political, economic or social views and shall take active steps to neutralize whatever bias has been presented."
•   "Guest speakers from religious organizations are not permitted to present to students on religious topics."

"This is a tremendous victory, because CAIR intended this plan to be a pilot program for a nationwide rollout," said Daniel J. Piedra, executive director of the Freedom of Conscience Defense Fund. "I thank the Forum for its support of this critical case."
"This is a prime example of how the Forum helps protect the West from Islamist aggression," notes Forum director Gregg Roman."

The rhetorical point is acknowledged, but here the notion is entirely something different.  There the arming was for nefarious purpose, here the call is for one that claims the right to be supported by all of us.

Actually, we should consider that for everyone’s safety, they should return to dar al Islam.

Islam in America, Omar on 9/11 "Some people did some things"
« Reply #1089 on: April 12, 2019, 12:14:15 PM »
Rep Ilhan Omar to Cair:  "Some people did some things.

Yes they did.  Islamist extremists in the name of Allah committed the worst attack ever on our nation, killing thousands and causing people to jump from burning buildings and vowing to commit more and more attacks including from within.

Omar says that made it harder for Muslims here, the ones who didn't fly the airplanes into the buildings.  Yes it did.  "They began to lose their civil rights."  What?

The ones who did this are dead now, but lived peacefully among us before it happened.  It's hard to tell the difference between the followers of the religion of peace [that support jihad] and the ones who want to destroy us who call for jihad.

Minimizing what happened, not effectively separating yourself from their terror cause, raising money for terror related groups, adopting the speech code of the terrorists and the haters, mirroring their foreign policy wishes like death to Israel, these things don't help.

I've been challenged on my assertion elsewhere that Obama enabled Somali entrance into America and that he placed them in what is now Ilhan Omar's district.

The Twin Cities have an ISIS problem
Colin Campbell Sep. 13, 2015

Members of the Minneapolis Somali community on May 12 waiting to enter the US courthouse in Minneapolis. A federal judge there ordered four Minnesota men accused of trying to travel to Syria to join the Islamic State group held pending trial.
The US Department of Justice on Wednesday announced that a man from Minneapolis pleaded guilty to charges related to the Islamic State militant group.
But the man, whom prosecutors identified as 19-year-old Hanad Musse, was hardly the only Twin Cities resident to face charges in recent months over suspected support of the extremist group.
There have been a string of ISIS-related arrests over roughly the past year.
Why Minneapolis? Authorities say it's linked to Minneapolis-St. Paul's large Somali community.

Accelerated under Obama but the beginning of the Somali migration in MN goes back to 1992 and was destroying some suburbs by 2010:
