"TRUMP AND HIS PECKER" headline

"Judge Orders The Don to Sit Like a Dog..." another

"Will Mountain of Evidence Be Enough to Convict?"  another

Wikipedia says he still runs the website but it doesn't look like it could be the same person to me.

I agree hard to believe it is him at least alone.

I can understand he may have been privately insulted by DJT (who has not been?) as reported as a somewhat supported theory from a Meghan Kelly podcast and
as a cause to not support DJT much anymore.

Nonetheless,  the site is a total mimic of Democrat Party talking points which I did not see Matt supporting in the past.  OTOH some previous Rs hate DJT so much they go on enemy stations and sound like Dems/libs/progressives.

"Scientific" "American" is a Radical Left Wing Rag
« Reply #4102 on: April 24, 2024, 06:58:05 AM »
We have noted as much in the climate thread but this goes further.

Get the radical agenda away from our kids, out of the schools.

https://modernity.news/2024/04/23/scientific-american-claims-it-is-misinformation-that-there-are-just-two-sexes

Right out of Orwell, it is misinformation to disagree with the new insanity, to the point that the President of the United States doesn't know how many genders there are anymore.

I'll help.  There are two genders and the science says they are identified by xx and xy chromosome patterns.  One tends to have a penis and the other tends to have a vagina. When the science on that changes, let us know.

Within those groups it's okay if women wear their hair short and if men wear their hair long. Girls can play with trucks and boys can play with dolls if they what, but that doesn't change the science.

Jon Stewart Skewers CNN MSNBC Trump Trial Coverage
« Reply #4103 on: April 26, 2024, 07:27:53 AM »
https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2024/04/jon-stewart-skewers-the-medias-trump-coverage.php

It's year 10 of the Trump Presidential race coverage.  I assume his studio audience is filled with liberals and for the first time they actually laugh at themselves and their fascination with everything that is not the issue on trial.

This is a breakthrough in media IMHO.  CNN ran an antisemitism article on Columbia.  Bill Maher said abortion is murder but it's ok.  NPR is exposed for what it is.

Maybe we are at some kind of inflection point.  What if salt of the earth Democrats heard both sides of stories instead of just Narrative News?

Re: Drudge headline lowest run of unemployment in decades

Workforce (laborforce) participation rate is the new employment, unemployment metric.

https://www.frbsf.org/research-and-insights/publications/economic-letter/2023/08/how-far-is-labor-force-participation-from-its-trend/#:~:text=However%2C%20the%20labor%20force%20participation,pandemic%20level%20in%20February%202020.

I haven't looked lately but it's about as low as it has been since women entered the workforce in large numbers.  Lowest for men ever.  Some record to brag about.  Nearly half the adults don't work. What could go wrong.

MSM Letters of Marque?

I dunno, I kinda like the ideal of incentivizing rooting out fraud and waste. Of course, this is likely to land harder on one party that the other and that will likely inspire resistance that will claim to be principled, but at the end of the day, money talks:

Biden lies, calling out the absent media fact checkers

https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/guess-which-huge-biden-lie-cnn-refused-fact-check

"Inflation was 9% when I came into office"

  - Oops it was 1.4%, a 6-fold lie.

"Trump lost jobs" when it was the covid closings in blue states that lost jobs.

Is anybody alive at these fact check operations?

The buried lede here is comeuppance. The Old Gray Hag rooted out diversity of thought and opinion, and now the current crop of reporters are chaffing over the poor reception their journalistic views are given. Cry me a freakin’ river & don’t dish it out if you can’t deal w/ it:

There is no 'right', only "Far Right".

"Far-right Geert Wilders announces new Dutch government deal"
https://www.politico.eu/article/geert-wilders-new-netherlands-government-far-right/

"Anti-Islam firebrand Geert Wilders and three other party leaders have agreed on a coalition deal that veers the Netherlands toward the hard right."
https://apnews.com/hub/geert-wilders#

"Dutch far right-led government set for clashes with Brussels"
https://www.ft.com/content/45d0221f-5664-4f73-b0a6-dcb177ff4944
---------------------
Only on fora like these was the election of Obama or Biden called a Sharp Turn to the Far Left.  To our media, the hard Left, children changing genders and industries taken over by government, is just a return to normal.

And to me, what they call Far Right is just a return to common sense.  Netherlands is a place where you might find Dutch people and public sidewalks are a place you might walk down.

On Alice Stewart Jake the Snake Tapper mentioned her and that she worked with Huckabee and Ted Cruz on campaigns
but of course had to throw in the usual political barbs

She called for civility in politics and something about Ted Cruz did not listen to her.

It annoys me when Democrats like Tapper quote Rs who call for civility always implying incivility comes from the Right

woops , I mean "FAR" right.....

O'Reilly absolutely despises Tapper.
He was a bit less critical of Dana Bash when he said what can I say she is a "liberal" woman.

Bash called Stewart a "woman's woman"

Me: whatever the hell that is supposed to mean.

I just posted a similar piece in the Milei thread where his tour of Spain/Europe is being covered as some sort of "far right" listening tour.

Yes.  What is far right?  As you say, to them it is anyone who opposes the crazy Direction they are trying to take us in.

To me, conservative is short for common sense conservatism.  If it isn't aligned with common sense, it probably isn't conservative.

Same goes for libertarian. Supporting Liberty is the default position. Opposing tyranny, same.

None of that means anarchy or no government.  Just the opposite. If Government stopped doing all the other things, they could focus so much better on basic governing, roads, libraries and providing for the common defense.

All this other stuff is the extremism. Taking from some to give to others, spending 40% more than we take in, scraping the genitals off of children and calling it gender affirmation.

They think opposing all of that is extremism. Are they f'ing nuts?

They control nearly 100% of all information flow, from K through 12 to college to the networks to the Big Tech' social media, and they still can't get 50% support for the craziness.

George Orwell had no idea what he was starting.

If they couldn't cast aspersions they'd run out of "arguments" pretty darn quickly. It's amusing how the side of the aisle that can find "racist dogwhistles" just about anywhere if they look hard enough feign oblivion to a far more concrete tactic they embrace that claims some sort of tangential association is proof positive right wing authoritarianism.

Here and in the West they call conservatives 'far right', but if you kill enough people in and around Iran they are happy to call you a 'conservative'.

http://economist.com/
"Mr Raisi has a long list of internal enemies, from the relative moderates he has marginalised to the fellow conservatives who think he has been an inept president. It is not unreasonable to wonder if domestic foes conspired to kill him."
