USAID and Other GONGO operations
« on: February 07, 2025, 10:02:08 AM »
OK, I give up-- time for a thread dedicated to USAID:

https://m3.gab.com/media_attachments/54/1e/c1/541ec16d849cc0e61ca7de3f3779a7b2.png?width=568

Edited to add:  BBG had a piece that proffered the acronym GONGO meaning "Govt Organized NGO" which I think neatly encapsulates the essence and so I bring the concept to this thread and modify the Subject line accordingly.

Connecting two thoughts here, I noticed that of all the things usaid was accused of funding, Hillsdale College was not one of them. Nor Fox News, nor Hoover Institution, nor American greatness, not even the forum.

We only received $44 K directly from USAID

but later in article it receives many millions for its Politico Pro subscriptions from the government

Do I read this right?  so what is the difference?

so it is money laundering by another name ?

$68 million from USAID to the WEF, because they so clearly need it.

My rule with reading the left is to stop reading as soon as they tell a lie or a falsehood, and it usually happens in the first sentence or the first paragraph.

MSNBC columnist starts this way:
"After just two weeks in power, President Donald Trump and his top donor and adviser, Elon Musk, are declaring war on U.S. foreign aid."

  - No, they are governing and keeping promises.

Any voter could have assumed that 'America first' might put foreign aid in jeopardy?

https://www.msnbc.com/opinion/msnbc-opinion/trump-musk-usaid-doge-foreign-aid-rcna190671

Cognitive dissonance is the only thread we have needed to cover the Left.

My savvy friend Michael Brewer assesses

Michael Brewer
February 6 at 10:09 AM  ·

Sincere respect and thanks to Eric Benjaminson for weighing in on the USAID discussion with good information and a desire to create comprehension instead of discord.  Those who've known me for a while know the esteem in which I hold Eric, and the respect I have for him regardless of any occasional differences in our political views.  He is a man of quality and of character, a patriotic American who served his nation abroad as an Ambassador and diplomat, and I am humbly grateful to call him my friend.

Today, Eric commented with some additional resources and citations regarding USAID and its standing as an independent agency.  Like many Americans right now, I am trying to make sense of what's happening, to see through a press corps I do not trust, read between the lines of a narrative I do not trust, and get to the meat of issues that are willfully skewed by those with competing interests.  I've worked in government affairs for some time now, so I'm comfortable poring through legislation and bill texts.  I made a rookie error in reading thoroughly the foundational legislation that gave USAID its mandate without considering that legislation might have been changed by later legislation.  Eric provided that insight in his typical diplomatic fashion, so I've spent the morning reading that as well.

My opinion (note: analytical tradecraft language follows), not my assessment, but my opinion at present is that USAID has been a convenient mechanism for many pet projects, shell company grants, and personal enrichment opportunities by corrupt officials for decades.  In looking back at past Republican-led attempts to dismantle USAID (notably under Bush and Trump in his first administration), I think it's fair to assess it's been no secret in Washington that many of the corrupt players are Democrats.  While Democrats may represent a majority in this regard, they are almost certainly not alone in their exploitation of the agency itself and its ability to dish out lightly audited cash to dizzying webs of NGOs.  There is a reason USAID was a target for this audit, and there's a reason no one in Washington is surprised by what Elon Musk is discovering and making public.  I also think the level of outcry from so many on the Left is worth noting because it very likely either represents a reflexive Trump-hate from people with no personal investment whatsoever beyond participation in their chosen party's favorite sport (bashing Trump for absolutely anything he does), or it represents sincere concern by the corrupt that they will be unmasked and their deeds laid bare for all to see.  Of course there is a full spectrum of in-betweens, but those are the ones that matter.

The bottom line is this: President Trump has the Constitutional authority and responsibility to set the course and policy for foreign affairs.  Whether USAID is a protected agency or not, the taxpayer dollars it sends overseas are the President's to monitor and execute.  He does have the authority and responsibility to audit and manage those funds and programs.  He does have the authority and responsibility to be a good steward of those funds.  So while he cannot dissolve USAID as an agency without a simple majority vote in the Congress his party controls, it is absolutely fair game to expose each and every single dollar being spent through that agency, and to take appropriate administrative action against those responsible for breaking the rules or exploiting the system.  I would assess with pretty high confidence that a strategy of fully auditing the agency and showing the public everything that audit uncovers may well be a precursor to asking the American People if the time has come to demand a change be made.  If they see what's there to be seen and want a change, I think President Trump will likely have all the votes he needs to make that happen.

USAID’s Anti-Israeli Operations
« Reply #13 on: February 09, 2025, 02:10:00 PM »
And here’s where various GONGO ops show their true colors:

Avi Abelow

Trump is only in power for a little over two weeks, and in addition to the amazing change in direction dealing with our enemies, his administration, thanks to Elon Musk, is already exposing so much corruption that has been part of the Federal government for years, especially from USAID.  And wait until you hear about USAID's disastrous impact on Israel!

For over a year, many Israelis have been grappling with a growing scandal: the realization that the so-called “grassroots” protest movements against the judicial reform before the war, that later miraculously, overnight, morphed into the hostage families protest movement, was not organic at all. Little by little, information was being exposed in Israel showing that it was organized and not grassroots at all.

Now, public records are now exposing how foreign funding—particularly from USAID, a U.S. government agency—was used to create internal division within Israel, ultimately emboldening Hamas and prolonging our suffering. This isn’t just an issue of political interference. This is a clear case of the Biden administration using American taxpayer money to orchestrate a color revolution aimed at toppling the Netanyahu government.

One of the most shocking revelations involves the Israeli NGO 'Blue and White Future'. Until 2023, it was largely an inactive association, barely making a ripple in Israel’s political landscape. Then, out of nowhere, something changed. The Kaplan judicial reform protest movement—billed as a grassroots uprising against judicial reform—emerged, bringing hundreds of thousands into the streets, week after week, in what looked like an extraordinarily well-funded and coordinated operation.
The question was: who was paying for it?

According to public records, in 2023 alone, approximately 160 million shekels (around $44 million) suddenly entered Blue and White Future’s bank account. Where did a previously dormant NGO suddenly get such enormous funds? The records show that in that same year, the organization received 14 million shekels ( around $4 million) from USAID—an official agency of the U.S. government, controlled by the Biden administration.
This means that the Biden administration, through USAID, was funding and orchestrating the anti-government protest movement in Israel. What they sold as “Israeli democracy in action” was, in reality, a foreign-backed attempt to destabilize the government.  Now we know exactly why Secretary of State Blinken made sure to meet the leaders of the protest movement on some of his visits to Israel!
Hamas itself admitted that Israel’s internal division—amplified and funded by these protests—was a major factor in its decision to attack on October 7th. In a speech after the massacre, senior Hamas official Ali Baraka explicitly stated that Hamas 'watched the Kaplan protests and concluded that Israel was weak and distracted', providing the perfect opportunity to strike.

In other words, this Biden-backed, USAID-funded protest movement directly encouraged Hamas to attack Israel.
And yet, the damage didn’t stop there.

After October 7th, the anti-government protest movement didn’t disappear. Instead, it morphed into the hostage families movement, using the suffering of our hostages as a weapon against the Israeli government. The same political operatives who ran the Kaplan protests quickly rebranded themselves, hijacking the anguish of families and turning them into a political tool to pressure Netanyahu into dangerous concessions under the slogan "Bring them home".

Instead of demanding the **immediate and total defeat of Hamas**—which is the only way to ensure the return of our hostages—and pressuring Qatar, Iran, Egypt and international organizations, the movement blamed Netanyahu and his government, pushing for a "deal at any price", leading to horrific hostage deal that emboldened Hamas and made future hostage-taking more likely. By organizing high-profile protests, sit-ins, and pressure campaigns—again, under the influence of U.S. funding—the movement signaled to Hamas that the longer they held out, the more they could extract from Israel.

This played directly into Hamas’ hands. Every time the pressure on Netanyahu increased, Hamas increased its demands, delaying the hostages’ release and putting Israeli soldiers and civilians at greater risk.

At the same time that USAID money was fueling anti-government protests in Israel, USAID funds were also going to Gaza, where they were propping up Hamas’ war machine. Under the guise of “humanitarian aid,” millions of dollars flowed into Gaza, keeping Hamas alive and enabling it to continue its war against Israel.

So let’s be clear: while USAID was funding protests that weakened Israel from within, it was also sending aid to Hamas, strengthening our enemy.

The pattern is undeniable. The Biden administration, through USAID and other channels, deliberately sought to destabilize Israel, weaken Netanyahu, and empower Hamas. This is not incompetence. This is policy. And this is only the tip of the iceberg of what USAID did to harm Israel.

The ultimate goal? To topple Netanyahu, and install a left-wing government that would be more compliant with Biden’s vision for Israel—one that would retreat from Judea and Samaria, negotiate with terrorists, and ultimately divide Jerusalem.
But thank God, Trump won the election.

With the Obama/Biden/Harris government now out, all of this anti-Israel activity by the Biden administration is being exposed.
This is just one of the many ways USAID was used to waste US taxpayer money.

Americans are waking up to the fact that their hard-earned taxpayer dollars were not being used for their benefit, but instead were funneled into foreign political movements to push the Democratic Party’s progressive and destructive agenda.

With President Trump back in charge, we can finally expect an end to this madness. No more American money will go to destabilizing Israel, funding anti-government protests, or keeping Hamas alive. Israel will be free to fight and win this war without interference, and Americans will no longer have their tax dollars wasted on the Democrats’ reckless foreign policy.

It’s time for Israel to sever its dependence on foreign funding, especially from sources that seek to undermine our sovereignty. USAID’s role in funding these protest movements and keeping Hamas alive must be investigated, and any Israeli organizations complicit in this scheme should be exposed.

The Jewish people have survived thousands of years of enemies trying to destroy us from the outside. We will not allow a foreign-backed political coup to succeed in weakening us from within. It is miraculous that Netanyahu succeeded against all this pressure.
With Biden gone and Trump back, it’s time to take back control of our destiny

Defanging the Protest Snake in El Salvador

It appears in El Salvador the media, the Catholic Church, sundry politicians et al ran a month long campaign using USAID monies against some sort of proposed mining project. Here’s what they achieved:

A thread I encountered on a third party’s page:

Ex-USAID Chief Power's Wealth Surge Sparks Public Inquiry
Last updated
Former USAID Administrator Samantha Power's financial status has come under public scrutiny after social media posts highlighted a significant increase in her net worth during her tenure. Speculations have circulated regarding how such wealth accumulation could occur on a public official's salary. Calls for an investigation into her finances have been made by various social media users, reflecting concerns over potential impropriety, though no official investigations or legal actions are confirmed in available reports.
This story is a summary of posts on X and may evolve over time. Grok can make mistakes, verify its outputs.

Samantha Power, Biden's USAID head, saw her net worth skyrocket by $23.3 million in just three years, all while pulling in a measly $180K per year.
With USAID dishing out billions in foreign aid, it's fishy as hell. Where the hell did that extra cash come from?

It’s worth noting these funds have ended up in BLM and fellow traveler coffers, which is to say what has worked overseas has been employed here.

$100 Billion in Social Security Sent to Recipients w/ No Social Security #

Might need to expand this thread to include Social Security also….

Elon said “I was told that there are currently over $100B/year of entitlements payments to individuals with no SSN or even a temporary ID number. If accurate, this is extremely suspicious.”

Over $100 BILLION is being sent every year to people in America with no Social Security number

This may be the biggest money laundering scandal since Ukraine, ActBlue, and all the other globalist scams

This is why Democrats are freaking out - their DC gravy train was just exposed

Powers’ “Progressive” Pedigree

A lot of info about Susan Powers, former USAID director containing all sorts of bon mots, like her hubby has some spook connections and was urging the NSA to plant provocateurs in chat rooms and such. File this one under “know your enemy” as she is clearly a capital “P” “Progressive” in bureaucrat’s clothing complete w/ Ivy League pedigree:

https://hotair.com/tree-hugging-sister/2025/02/07/usaid-and-the-power-that-beor-was-n3799584

It’s worth noting that a lot of what’s coming out re this org has to do with funding independent journalism, make that buying up the local press for purposes of regime change. “Progressives” have all sorts of tropes and even movies about Nixon etc. using the CIA to launch evil regime change plans in South America, Southeast Asia, etc. where the US is the bad guy. So all of a sudden we’re the good guys when we do the same in Hungary? Consistency is not in their repertoire,

ETA: Some may recall Powers, as BHO’s UN rep, made hundreds of so called “unmasking” requests of Trump appointees and others. Here she claims it was others doing so using her name. Hopefully this is being deeply dug into:

DOGE Accountability 101: The Left is Freaking Out With US Taxpayer Gravy Train Cut Off
San Francisco’s nonprofit sector is the largest per capita of any California county – $9 billion outstanding in federal grants and loans
By Katy Grimes, February 10, 2025 9:06 am

Non-profit organizations and Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) have become a shadow government in the U.S. Many years ago I reported blatantly phony non-profit groups to the California Attorney General. Nothing ever happened. So for many years, going back to when Jerry Brown was California’s Attorney General, I have researched and investigated dubious non-profits and written about them, hoping government officials would take notice – to no avail. California’s corruption begins at the top, as does the corruption in the United States.

Think back to Barack Obama and ACORN, a very shady “community activist” organization that helped bring Obama to power. ACORN was a community organizing group that claimed to help poor people with low-income housing issues, but was really registering thousands/millions of people to vote in Democratic districts. Some of these supposed voters reportedly were actually dead, nonexistent, or used shacks and empty buildings as their home addresses.

Sounds just like ACTBlue.

The lid was blown off of ACORN by James O’Keefe and Hannah Giles, but the organization never really disbanded – they just changed names and continued their “community organizing” and shady leftist voter registration practices.

At the Globe, we’ve reported on so many dubious organizations, with damning details, but crickets… Read this recent article, about “Free Speech for People,” the non-profit parent organization of “Impeach Trump. Again.” for an example.

With President Donald Trump and DOGE Chairman and “White House Tech Support” Elon Musk exposing the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) agency, the scheme is up.

“USAID has been a substantial funder of over 6,200 journalists across 707 media outlets and 279 “media” NGOs, including 90 percent of the reportage out of Ukraine,” Wikileaks posted on X.

And: “USAID has pushed nearly half a billion dollars ($472.6m) through a secretive US government financed NGO, “Internews Network” (IN), which has “worked with” 4,291 media outlets, producing in one year 4,799 hours of broadcasts reaching up to 778 million people and “training” over 9000 journalists (2023 figures). IN has also supported social media censorship initiatives.” (more on this organization to come).

It gets worse.

“USAID Sent $9.3B to Islamic Terror States That Killed 3,000 American Soldiers, And over $18 billion to Islamic terrorist states,” Daniel Greenfield reports today:

USAID support for Somalia had doubled under the Biden administration and with $3.3 billion from USAID allocated in the last 5 years.
USAID sent $2.1 billion to Gaza and the West Bank since the Hamas attacks of Oct 7. In 2024 alone, $917 million was programmed for the terrorist areas occupying Israel.
USAID provided over $3.7 billion to Afghanistan since the Taliban took over with $832 million in the previous fiscal year alone.
Even while the United States of America was at war with the Houthis, the Islamic terrorist group firing on US Navy vessels out of Yemen, USAID continued to direct billions of dollars to Yemen. In 2024, USAID announced a $2.7 billion aid request for Yemen and allocated $753 million. Over the last 5 years, it doled out $3.4 billion.
The San Francisco Standard reports today Bay Area nonprofits are dumbfounded from President Trump’s “funding cuts and chaos. San Francisco has the largest share of the nonprofit workforce of any California county. Other Bay Area counties, including Santa Clara, San Mateo, and Alameda, follow right behind.”

Oh no. Say it isn’t so!

“San Francisco’s nonprofit sector is the largest per capita of any California county – $9 billion outstanding in federal grants and loans for Bay Area entities, according to U.S. contract data. That includes more than $1 billion earmarked directly for nonprofits, and much more that filters down to organizations across the region through state and local governments and institutions.”

This has been paid from taxpayer money – money taken from the people’s paychecks. As Greenfield wrote, “USAID’s partnerships with foreign governments, and with large unaccountable organizations including the UN and the World Bank, have raised concerns of money laundering. The revolving door between USAID personnel and some of the non-profit and for-profit groups who all profit from it has also raised questions about the legitimacy of those arrangements.”

Elon Musk posted on X details of DOGE’s deep dive into Medicaid payments:

To be clear, what the @DOGE team and @USTreasury have jointly agreed makes sense is the following: – Require that all outgoing government payments have a payment categorization code, which is necessary in order to pass financial audits. This is frequently left blank, making audits almost impossible. – All payments must also include a rationale for the payment in the comment field, which is currently left blank. Importantly, we are not yet applying ANY judgment to this rationale, but simply requiring that SOME attempt be made to explain the payment more than NOTHING! – The DO-NOT-PAY list of entities known to be fraudulent or people who are dead or are probable fronts for terrorist organizations or do not match Congressional appropriations must actually be implemented and not ignored. Also, it can currently take up to a year to get on this list, which is far too long. This list should be updated at least weekly, if not daily. The above super obvious and necessary changes are being implemented by existing, long-time career government employees, not anyone from @DOGE. It is ridiculous that these changes didn’t exist already! Yesterday, I was told that there are currently over $100B/year of entitlements payments to individuals with no SSN or even a temporary ID number. If accurate, this is extremely suspicious. When I asked if anyone at Treasury had a rough guess for what percentage of that number is unequivocal and obvious fraud, the consensus in the room was about half, so $50B/year or $1B/week!! This is utterly insane and must be addressed immediately.

“So they designed treasury payments the same way they designed the voting system. Impossible to audit,” a follower responded.

Musk replied:

“The best way to understand the system is that it is designed for complaint minimization: people don’t complain if they receive money, but do complain loudly (especially fraudsters!) if they don’t receive money. Therefore, everything is geared towards sending out the money, even if wasteful or fraudulent.”

“This was how they turned all of us into slaves! And spent our money like Hunter Biden…” another follower responded.

Boom.

Adding insult to injury, “DOGE Team Discovers FEMA Spent $59 Million Last Week on Luxury Hotels for Illegals in NYC Violating the Current Law – Musk Vows to Recoup the Funds,” the Gateway Pundit reported this morning.

Meanwhile, back in San Francisco, hands are wringing, pearls are being clutched, big crocodile tears are being wept, and safe spaces will be needed:

“City leaders are considering layoffs to close the gap on a massive home-grown deficit. And that assumes San Francisco holds onto the $1.8 billion in federal funds it is counting on this year — 11% of the city budget, according to the controller’s office. With threats looming that the Federal Emergency Management Agency won’t reimburse $234 million it owes the city, and U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi directing the Department of Justice to pause funding to sanctuary cities, it’s clear that San Francisco’s government is in a similar predicament to local nonprofits.”

DOGE is investigating the more than $100 Billion a year of entitlements payments to individuals with no Social Security Number or even a temporary ID number. Our government was paying billions out to people with no provable existence. Let that sink in.

Shut it down. All of it.

Posting this several places as it looks to me like the beginning of a big deal. Warren’s CFPB has had its funds cut off as has USAID; this piece claims various US based vote fraud operations depend on these two orgs (think about that for a minute) for 75% of their funding. So … if these cuts stick, it’ll be very interesting to see what impact it has on the midterm election cycle. Hopefully some folks with the right chops and abilities to do something about it—meaning anyone but the MSM as they have their hands as deeply inserted in now empty pockets as their fellow fraudsters—are tracking the various befores and afters in these problem precincts to see what tea can be made of those changes.

An earlier post of mine in USAID noted how those funds were being used to, let’s speak plainly, subvert elections in other, often democratic, countries. Hey if it worked in those places to install WEF backed Uniparties it’ll work here, right?

Peter Bernegger
@PeterBernegger
@DOGE
entered the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) last week. Surprise ending.

Take a close second look at how important this is to our elections:

The CFPB is how the Democratic National Committee DNC and US Congressman Clyburn network get paid.  Conservative Treehouse Feb 7, 2025 article, link below.

Clyburn quietly goes around visiting various states months before major elections. He visits the key election fraud participants such as Sols To The Pols, MICHA, and African Methodist Episcopal Churches.

Clyburn went to Madison, Milwaukee and Beloit, perhaps other places. Afterward his visits, there were text messages talking about ballot ordering.

"The African Methodist Episcopal (AME) church, has precinct level ballot counting election operations (poll workers) in the key counties [Fulton (GA), Wayne (Mich), Philadelphia and Pittsburgh (PA), Clark (NV), Maricopa (AZ), Dane (WI), etc.]  The ballot counting doesn’t need to happen all over the state, just at the key urban county level." Conservative Treehouse July 3, 2024.

What Clyburn is doing is planning the ballot harvesting, one does not need votes, you need ballots to win a elections. There is a key difference.

"This is the core funding for the activist groups who the Democrats rely upon to manipulate election outcomes.  If they get cut off from both USAID funds and CFPB funds, they lose about 75% of all their election engineering funding."  Conservative Treehouse Feb 7, 2025.

Chris Gleason deserves the credit for the countless hours of research on Smurfing to expose it. Phillip Allison did key work also.
@immutablechrist

The surprise: we have been saying for a long time a good amount of the Smurfing $$$$ - which is criminally laundered monies into political campaigns - is coming from the US Treasury.

"The Act Blue money laundering operation took the hundreds of millions in funds from sketchy network sources attached to the CFPB/USAID, then assigned those funds to random names in the donor files of the Act Blue system; essentially washing away the fingerprints so the FEC could not identify the larger funding mechanism behind the fraudulently assigned individual donors.  This is the trail that James O’Keefe was following."  Conservative Treehouse Feb 7, 2025.

The Impact of the USAID TRO
« Reply #27 on: February 11, 2025, 12:47:12 PM »
Only in government would this kind of spending and insubordination be tolerated:

@julie_kelly2
Subscribe
NEW: In a sworn declaration to the court, Pete Marocco, who oversees USAID for the president, detailed instances of insubordination and defiance related to the president's order to review all foreign aid and pause spending.

Marocco: "I made numerous requests for information about USAID's operations, programs, and compliance with the president's directives. I have consistently found USAID's senior staff were unwilling or unable to provide basic compliance and oversight information.

For example, senior professionals in the finance, legal, and human capital groups were not able to identify who, when, and why dozens of specific multi-million dollar payments were approved or disbursed in the days following the President's directives to pause most USAID disbursements and programs.

This lack of clear or timely information sharing caused grave concern about whether USAID was faithfully following the President's and Secretary's (Rubio) directives. Those concerns were amplified when...agency leadership became aware that a group of USAID employees were not complying with the President's Executive Order and continued to permit new funding obligations paused by those directives."

By Feb 1, the administration had placed 115 USAID officials on paid leave for "noncompliance" and "other acts of insubordination." The plan was for all but roughly 600 of the 4,765 full time USAID employees to be placed on leave as Marocco and his team analyzed foreign projects. That was thwarted by Judge Nichols' TRO. (Marocco also took a swipe at Nichols' unsubstantiated claim that USAID employees "in Syria" faced imminent danger. "To the best of my knowledge, none of these employees were located in high-risk countries, such as Syria." Perhaps Nichols would have learned that had he allowed the DOJ to respond to the lawsuit before issuing his TRO.)

Marocco also identified one USAID employee who defied the directive related to assistance funding for Gaza. ""One USAID employee who broke that chain of command, did not communicate with her immediate USAID supervisor, and attempted to obligate or authorize the expenditure of nearly half a billion dollars in assistance in a manner that was inconsistent with the president's priorities."

As we learn more, Judge Nichols' hasty TRO makes even less sense. He has now placed defiant USAID employees back on the job with no oversight as they contradict direct orders by both the president and Secretary Rubio.

But Nichols claims that the employees are the ones being harmed? Truly shameful stuff. Even if he refuses to enter a preliminary injunction or enters a limited one, Nichols has allowed rogue USAID employees free rein for at least a week to do who knows what.

FEMA's CFO fired
« Reply #28 on: February 11, 2025, 01:03:50 PM »
BREAKING: This is Big. Senior DHS Official has just confirmed to me that FEMA’s Chief Financial Officer Mary Comans was just fired for illegally funding migrant luxury hotels in NYC against the orders of President Trump.
Comans is arguably most powerful person at FEMA, controlling billions in funding.

“Effective immediately, FEMA is terminating the employment of four individuals for circumventing leadership to unilaterally make egregious payments for luxury NYC hotels for migrants. Firings include FEMA’s Chief Financial Officer, two program analysts and a grant specialist.

Under President Trump and Secretary Noem’s leadership, DHS will not sit idly and allow deep state activists to undermine the will and safety of the American people.”
This is an earthquake

FO: USAID $ to DFC?
« Reply #31 on: February 13, 2025, 06:56:45 AM »

(1) TRUMP CONSIDERS SHIFTING USAID MONEY: President Donald Trump’s advisors are considering moving billions of dollars in U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) funding to the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC).

The first Trump administration created the DFC, which was given authority to use taxpayer funds for overseas private-sector investments.

Why It Matters: The Trump administration is attempting to keep the “soft power” function of USAID by turning that function over to the DFC. This move would eliminate a major source of financing for progressive and far left political groups, while also shifting “soft power” from political-ideological objectives toward an economic statecraft model that mirrors China’s Belt and Road Initiative. - R.C.

Wish the piece spoke more to Repub reaction to her nomination as that would likely prove to be a negative map charting who was feeding at the GONGO trough by noting what they DIDN'T ask.

Get 'em all before congress testifying, acknowledge those who have immunity, judiciously grant immunity to those with something to trade, and relentlessly prosecute those that lie under oath say I.

Amen.

I don't want to look backward. I don't want to be vindictive. But it isn't right that all this happens without consequence.

Good point. And to be clear, vindictiveness is not my goal. Hell, let them all walk scot-free so long as they allocute in total to all acts underwritten by GONGO. All has to be left in the open for anyone to evaluate before any subsequent trip to the ballot box, laid out is such a way it can't be walked back, written off, of denied when expedient to do so. These folks spent a lot of years concealing basic fiscal facts and their consequences from the American public; a commensurate amount of time and revelatory energy now must be spent showing the public all that was previously and intentionally kept well hidden.

$4.4 Billion; Only 2% Made it to Intended Victims
« Reply #46 on: February 23, 2025, 01:22:33 AM »
@libsoftiktok

USAID’s Haiti scandal is staggering. The U.S. sent $4.4B after the 2010 earthquake—yet less than 2% reached Haitians, while 56% lined the pockets of D.C. firms.

The Red Cross claimed to shelter 130,000 people—but built just SIX homes.

No transparency. No accountability. USAID and NGOs refuse to answer where the money went—while Haitians were left with nothing.

IIRC the Clintons got LOTS of money out of this-- including Hillary's brother (Hugh Rodham) being on a Board of Directors.  So searches should include his name too.  (IIRC Hugh scored from one of the Prez Pardons for Sale deals as Bill was leaving office.)

Globalists Whine 4 Funds as Hungry Tells USAID to Ef Off
« Reply #48 on: February 24, 2025, 07:34:16 AM »
Nice little microcosm of how USAID operates described below:

Orbán warfare

Hungary's leader wants that DOGE in the window. Arf, arf

FEB 24, 2025

Viktor Orbán, Prime Minister of Hungary, tweeted, “Our fears have come true: the globalist-liberal-Soros NGO network is fleeing to Brussels, after President Trump dealt a huge blow to their activities in the US. Now 63 of them are asking Brussels for money, under the guise of various human rights projects. Not going to happen! We will not let them find safe haven in Europe! The USAID-files exposed the dark practices of the globalist network. We will not take the bait again!”

If they are non-government organizations, why do they receive government funding?

He linked the International Commission of Jurists, one of those patsy communist NGOs that promote the New World Order under the guise of fighting for human rights.

The CIA formed the ICJ in 1953 to counter Stalin’s International Association of Democratic Lawyers. Stalin arrested and executed the first head of the ICJ. 30 years later, ICJ became the very thing it was supposed to oppose.

Anyway, ICJ said, “The International Commission of Jurists, together with over 60 civil society organizations, has joined an urgent appeal calling on EU leaders to take immediate action to address the global development aid crisis triggered by recent decisions by the U.S. administration.”

What action? This:

Provide emergency funding to mitigate the financial shortfalls created by the U.S. aid freeze and Global Gag Rule;
Prioritize funding for sectors most affected, including reproductive rights, gender equality, and LGBTIQ rights;
Reduce administrative barriers to ensure accessibility of funding for civil society organizations;
Take diplomatic action to urge the U.S. administration to reverse course.
Feed me, Seymour.

AP—which has raked in $37.5 million from taxpayers in the last few years—attacked the duly elected leader of Hungary.

It reported, “Hungary’s Orbán says he will do away with pro-democracy and rights groups receiving U.S. aid.”

Subscribe
But AP lied. Orbán never called these groups pro-democracy. In fact, he said the opposite, warning that these faux charities called NGOs want to topple his government.

Don’t laugh. NGOs convinced EU to overrule Romania’s recent election. I propose the European parliament make its slogan EU über alles.

Orbán said, “Now is the moment when these international networks have to be taken down, they have to be swept away. It is necessary to make their existence legally impossible.”

The Hungarian Conservative publication provided a good briefing on the matter:

Trump has been critical of USAID since his first presidential campaign and throughout his presidency. In 2018, his administration initiated reforms to make the agency more effective. These reforms focused on facilitating countries’ transition away from dependence on foreign assistance by promoting self-reliance, ultimately aiming to reduce the amount of US taxpayers’ money spent on aiding foreign nations.

However, such an approach does not align with the interests of the globalist Democratic elite, for whom aid dependency serves as a means to exert influence and pressure on recipient countries. Following Joe Biden’s election victory in 2020, it was back to business as usual.

Hungary also has experience with USAID, and, unsurprisingly, it is not a positive one. In December 2022, roughly three months after the arrival of Biden-appointed Ambassador to Hungary, David Pressman, the US Embassy announced the return of USAID to the country.

According to the announcement, USAID’s mission was to ‘strengthen democratic institutions, civil society, and independent media.’ The agency pledged to support its partners in Central Europe by increasing the capacity of civil society to uphold democratic principles, strengthening the financial independence of independent media, enhancing civil society and media watchdog skills to promote the rule of law, and combating corruption.

Following this, significant grants began flowing to opposition media outlets, government-critical NGOs, and other actors perceived as potential challengers to Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and his government. USAID collaborated closely with Pressman in attacking the Hungarian government by financing an extensive media network that amplified every critical statement made by the US Ambassador.

As a last parting gift, the US Embassy allocated substantial grants to several opposition and left-leaning media outlets on the day of Donald Trump’s inauguration.

In February 2023, Samantha Power, former Administrator of USAID, even visited Budapest, where she met with opposition journalists—described as ‘independent’ in US Embassy reports—members of the LGBTQ community, and held a press conference where she made pointed criticisms of Hungary’s political landscape.

Eliminate USAID and you eliminate a worldwide, totalitarian government run out of DC by the Democrat Party. Hoo boy. What a catastrophically bad idea having Democrats run the world. Democrats cannot even run our government. From Boston to LA, Democrats have shown they cannot run a city. Democrats run DC so poorly that Trump wants to take back home rule.

Lefties inadvertently paid Orbán a compliment when the European Council on Foreign Relations warned in October, “The Orbánization of America: Hungary’s lessons for Donald Trump.”

Its story said, “Viktor Orbán has seized control of nearly all the levers of power in Hungary since he became prime minister in 2010, effectively turning the country into an electoral autocracy.”

An electoral autocracy? That means voters elected someone who is a threat to the elitists who have been running the world into the ground.

The story also said, “Republicans in the US have noticed Orbán’s success. Orbán’s Fidesz party and the Republicans have lately strengthened their links significantly; Republicans appear to have learned from the former’s march through Hungarian institutions.

“In the four years since President Donald Trump left office, veterans of his administration have thought hard about how to make a new administration more effective than the last. Many believe that a similar seizure of control of the instruments of US governance is necessary.”

If true, thank you PM Orbán.

Share

Oh how the elitists fear the wrath of the voters. The ECFR admitted, “Liberal democracies are increasingly less likely to collapse due to coups d’états or blatant electoral fraud. More frequently, they are undermined by state-led erosion of their institutions and electoral manipulation. Hungary under Orban serves as the paradigmatic example of this type of modern democratic erosion. Since 2010, Hungary has experienced a gradual but severe democratic decline driven by these initially democratically elected officials, who expanded their grip on power while upholding the façade of democracy.”

Actually, the façade of democracy has always come from the left.

David Strom wrote, “Ukraine is Schrödinger’s democracy. As long as we don't measure whether Zelensky is democratically supported by his population, we can pretend that he is the legitimately elected leader of a democratic regime.

“Zelensky was legitimately elected, but his term was to have expired last year. He is currently empowered by martial law to remain in power, and implicitly by the fact that the US government pays all Ukraine's bills, including the salaries of the government, the budget for the military, the pensions, the media, the everything. Zelensky is an American satrap.”

The deep state installed this a satrap to protect the bribes and money laundering that keep Congress from challenging the deep state. Bought men tell no tales.

Be of good cheer. Trump, Orbán, Milei, Bukele and to some extent Meloni are restoring democracy. To make it permanent, DOGE is defunding the left. ’Tis a grand time to be an American.

A Hungarian.

An Argentinian.

A Salvadoran.

And of course, an Italian—although they always seem to be having a grand time.
