In the 1980s the WSJ regularly ran editorials and pieces about the re-election rate of incumbents in the House of Representatives.

IT WAS OVER 98%.

This was due to gerrymandering.

To make their point about the geographic irrationality of how district lines were drawn, they used a silhouette of CA's 32d Cong. District-- which coincidentally was precisely where I was running.

I made great use of all this in my campaigns of '84 and '88.

Liberal Democrats on fixed or middle class incomes make $200 million in campaign contributions. Nothing shady here at all:

PA Ruling: Digital Images of Mail-In Ballots are Public Record
« Reply #2854 on: July 31, 2024, 10:05:42 PM »
Hmm, this ought slow down fraudsters and leave the MSM more circumstance in declaring an election to be honest as now there will be a paper trail that can be audited, or at least on can hope so. Could make for some interesting citizen journalism ala James O’Keefe:

BREAKING: A Pennsylvania court just issued a MASSIVE ruling declaring that the digital images of completed absentee and mail-in ballots are PUBLIC RECORD

This means that after the November election, voters and candidates can obtain the original images for inspection

"In light of the foregoing analysis, we conclude that images of completed absentee and mail-in ballots are public records that can be obtained through an RTKL request, and consequently reverse Common Pleas’ June 28, 2023 order in part, to the extent that the lower tribunal ruled to the contrary." - Judge Ellen Ceisler

This will go a very long way to stop fictitious ballots from being inserted into the count. It forces election officials to keep a strict chain of custody for all ballots because if something doesn't add up, the ballot images will expose the truth

This is a fantastic ruling, and I thank patriot Michelle Previte for bringing the case. She filed the lawsuit because her Right-to-Know request to the Erie County Board of Elections for 2020 election records was DENIED. This ruling is big-time vindication and a slap in the face to every election fraud doer and denier.

ccp:  "Somehow watching polls by us is supposed to counter this.
What we really need is covert not overt surveillance and intelligence inside to lift the curtain up that is blocking what they are really doing. Sitting out side a poll station isn't going to do anything..... IMHO"

Right!

The Dinesh D'Souza movie was a try at that.  Somehow nothing came of that.  Not proven false I don't think but not followed up on.

Covert operations like what James O'Keefe and Project Veritas do.  Maybe Matt Taibbi or John Solomon.  Who were the people who got to the bottom of the Russia collusion hoax, the handling of the Steele Dossier and so on.

Somebody needs to get behind the curtain, not watch from the public view.  I hope that is happening...

“The surge in naturalization efficiency isn’t just about clearing backlogs; it’s potentially reshaping the electorate, merely months before a pivotal election,” Boundless Immigration CEO Xiao Wang said during a New York Times interview. Boundless Immigration uses U.S. government information to analyze immigration trends and helps immigrants navigate the naturalization process.

Republican National Committee (RNC) Chair Rep. Michael Whatley (R-NC) said the RNC filed over 100 lawsuits around the country to ensure noncitizens do not vote in the election, push states to clean up voter rolls, and require safeguards for mail-in voting.

(1) SCOTUS TO DECIDE HOW SOON COURTS CAN CHANGE ELECTION LAW: The Republican National Committee (RNC) asked the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) to restore an Arizona law requiring proof of citizenship for voter registration by 22 August.

The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals overturned a previous court ruling upholding the law, saying the law would upset the electoral status quo too close to the November election.

Why It Matters: State and national Republicans are filing lawsuits to change election laws on no excuse mail-in voting, ballot harvesting, and noncitizen voter registration. Previous courts cited Purcell v Gonzalez, a 2006 SCOTUS ruling that Arizona voter ID rules were implemented too close to the election to block previous attempts. However, if SCOTUS rules that this law can go into effect, it will effectively overturn the Purcell precedent and allow election law changes from Republican lawsuits to take effect this election cycle. – R.C.

oh but it was no problem sending 600 lawfare Democrat lawyers around the country in 2020 to get the voting rules changed in favor of ballot harvesting , no need for ID, and mail in balloting, delays in counting ballots, extending voting windows by weeks etc. not long before an election !

last time was in a NJ DMV when I had to go in to renew my license few seemed to be born here.
the time before was the same.

I haven't been there lately but since NJ is a safe Democrat haven I assume no one is outside the DMV registering illegals

but getting back at Maria's post why is it she can speak of the hearsay but we can't get video confirmation of what she is saying?

Again the Dem line is NO PROOF !!! and a middle finger to go along with it.

FO: Bad ruling from 9th circuit
« Reply #2878 on: August 20, 2024, 09:25:59 AM »

(3) FEDERAL COURT RULES IMPROPER MAIL-IN BALLOTS DO NOT DILUTE VOTE: The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled in Election Integrity Project California, Inc. v. Weber last week that state election officials counting invalid mail-in ballots does not illegally dilute valid in-person votes.

“Elections officials in California, as in all other jurisdictions, may at times inadvertently or mistakenly count invalid ballots. But the inadvertent counting of some invalid ballots, without more, does not limit, prevent, or otherwise burden the ability of any voter to cast a lawful ballot consistent with their voting preference or to have their ballot ‘counted equally in determining the final tally.’” Judge Kim McLane Wardlaw said.

Why It Matters: This Ninth Circuit decision is likely setting up a precedent to block lawsuits challenging the 2024 election based on invalid mail-in ballots gathered through ballot harvesting operations, including noncitizen ballots. So far, multiple states have found thousands of noncitizens registered to vote. Many states do not have a process for blocking noncitizens from obtaining a ballot or investigating noncitizen voting, and the federal government has put up legal barriers to verifying citizenship status for voting. Many states instead rely on third-party lawsuits to challenge voter eligibility. – R.C.

Throughout 2023, election officials utilized data from various sources, including the Georgia Department of Public Health, the Social Security Death Master File, and the Department of Corrections, to cancel records belonging to deceased individuals and those with felony convictions. That effort resulted in the cancellation of 104,119 records belonging to deceased individuals. Additional data from the Department of Corrections led to 29,799 individuals being canceled due to felony convictions. Georgia election officials used data collected by DDS to identify voters who have canceled their Georgia driver’s license to get a license or ID in another state. Georgia also matches data with USCIS databases, ensuring the citizenship status of Georgia voters.

DOJ & ADA NGO Go After Small WI Towns Using Paper Ballots. Why?
« Reply #2892 on: August 29, 2024, 09:51:06 PM »
An anecdotal tactic I see emerging involves the feds funding an issue oriented non-governmental organization (NGO), and that NGO then using fed-provided resources to partisan ends, be they NGO assisting illegal immigration, to this instance where one is joining the DOJ in forcing small Wisco towns to use electronic voting devices. Hells bells, why spend those kinds of resources on podunk little towns well able to count a thousand or so votes sans electronic enhancements, and how, pray tell, does electronic voting enfranchise disabled voting to a degree paper ballots don’t that justifies this pincer sledgehammer gnat swatting?

Is there, perhaps, something unstated in play? Beating up on burgs seems a tremendous misallocation of resources … unless instead throwing the full weight of the DOJ & an NGO at a couple wee towns fires a shot across the bows of numerous, larger municipalities perhaps contemplating the use of more tamper resistant voting method, one that leaves a clear, ah, paper trail.

Would seem like the sort of thing a diligent press would look into if they, advocacy NGOs, and Garlands DOJ weren’t all partaking of the same un-American circle jerk:

George
@BehizyTweets

BREAKING: The DOJ is in PANIC mode that Wisconsin towns Thornapple and Lawrence have chosen to count their 2024 election ballots by hand without the use of electronic voting machines

Merrick Garland's mafia sent a letter to the town officials, THREATENING them by “authorizing the filing of a lawsuit” unless they complied.
The Feds are trying to claim that the ONLY way disabled voters can vote is with a voting machine, which is next-level INSANITY. Apparently, no disabled people could vote before electronic voting machines were invented. In reality, they're going after these towns because they're setting an example for the rest of the country to follow

It also seems there's a coordinated effort between the DOJ and a disability rights NGO because they're arriving on the same battlefield against these towns together, “By ceasing to use electronic voting equipment and, instead, exclusively using paper ballots completed and tabulated by hand, Respondents are no longer using voting systems that are accessible for individuals with disabilities in a manner that provides the same opportunity for access and participation (including privacy and independence) as for other voters,” - Disability Rights Wisconsin in a complaint to the DOJ

Ask yourself this: Why do Democrats think towns with fewer than a thousand living in them need voting machines to count ballots? Why is the DOJ going scorched earth to make sure they use the machines

Commonwealth Court Judges

Commonwealth Court ruled 4-1 that disqualifying voters who failed to include the date violates the state constitution's clause that addresses "free and equal" elections.

so what happened to the other 4?:

9 judges of the Commonwealth Court noted by CD above:

More from Philadelphia Inquirer article:

IN PA ballot deadlines

https://www.pa.gov/en/agencies/vote/voter-support/mail-in-and-absentee-ballot.html

applications must be received by Oct 29
and ballots received by 8 PM Nov 5
Of course, if you have emergency, it is ok if received after polls closed  :x

So if ballots collected after 10/29 are not dated as such they can still be counted I believe.
Or if collected after application deadline a person could simply fill out this form and still get one

https://www.pa.gov/content/dam/copapwp-pagov/en/vote/resources/documents-and-forms/PADOS_EmergencyAbsenteeBallotApplication_English.pdf

and of course it is available in Spanish:

https://www.pa.gov/content/dam/copapwp-pagov/en/vote/resources/documents-and-forms/PADOS_EmergencyAbsenteeBallotApplication_Spanish.pdf

And in Chinese:

https://www.pa.gov/content/dam/copapwp-pagov/en/vote/resources/documents-and-forms/PADOS_EmergencyAbsenteeBallotApplication-Chinese.pdf

The right to vote becomes the right to cheat:
There was No reason to fight this law if not for expectation to cheat with ballot harvesting.
Anyone think the likes of Brent Landau was to stick up for free and *fair" elections?

armies of ballot harvesters to bang on inner city doors , approach street people , nursing homes to harvest 100s of thousands of ballots from people who otherwise don't vote or have an interest.

I still have not heard a good counter to this anywhere among the podcasts or news releases I listen or read.

NGO Uses Partisan Methods for “Non-Partisan” Voter Registration Drive
« Reply #2898 on: September 04, 2024, 05:07:49 PM »
Perhaps tangential to this thread, but check out how a “non-partisan” NGO uses (paid) social media tools to putatively register any interested potential voter, but “weed out” those unlikely to vote for “progressive” candidates via these media tools:

Do You Like NASCAR? This 'Non-partisan' Voter Registration Group Doesn’t Want To Help You
The Voter Participation Center excludes NASCAR fans, golf aficionados from its voter registration efforts

Andrew Kerr
September 2, 2024

Do you live in a swing state? If so, the Voter Participation Center, a "non-partisan" charity, is spending big on Facebook ads to ensure you have the information you need to cast a ballot in the upcoming election.

That is unless you like NASCAR, golf, Jeeps, or other interests and hobbies typically associated with Republican men. In that case, the Voter Participation Center does not want to share information that might help you make it to the polls in November.

The Voter Participation Center is a self-described "non-partisan" charity that claims to have helped more than six million people register to vote since its inception in 2003. The group’s claim to be "non-partisan" is important because the IRS is clear that charities, beneficiaries of generous tax exemptions, can only engage in voter registration drives in a "neutral, non-partisan manner." The IRS prohibits charities from engaging in voter registration activities in a manner that favors a candidate or political party.

On the surface, the Voter Participation Center’s Facebook ads appear to meet that non-partisan standard. "It’s quick and easy to register online to vote in Georgia. Check it off your to-do list in just a few minutes here," reads one of the organization’s ads that has received over one million impressions in the swing state.

But behind the scenes, Facebook ad library data indicate the Voter Participation Center’s ad campaign is deployed with partisan intent. The group has instructed Facebook to exclude from the reach of its ads anyone with expressed interests in 26 categories typically associated with Republican men, including the "PGA Tour," "Indianapolis 500," "Daytona 500," "Tom Clancy," "Modified Jeeps," "Duck Dynasty," and others.
The Voter Participation Center has spent more than $760,000 on a staggering 8,235 Facebook ads over the past 90 days in the swing states of Nevada, Arizona, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Georgia, according to the Facebook ad library.

The Voter Participation Center did not respond to a request for comment asking why it excludes fans of NASCAR and Golf, which, according to a 2013 study, are the two most Republican-leaning sports leagues in the country, from receiving its information on how to vote.
On the other hand, the Voter Participation Center has instructed Facebook to ensure its ads target audiences interested in a wide variety of topics typically associated with liberal audiences, including "African-American Literature," "Jordan Peele," "Taylor Swift," "Patagonia," and "hot yoga."

Capital Research president Scott Walter said it was little surprise that the Voter Participation Center is microtargeting its voter registration ads to prevent Republican audiences from seeing the message, saying the group has a history of exploiting IRS nonprofit rules to give Democrats an electoral edge. After all, Tom Lopach, former executive director of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee and former chief of staff to Sen. Jon Tester (D., Mont.), runs the organization.

In addition, Walter noted, the group’s tax filings further betray its covert partisan leanings. From 2020 through 2022, the Voter Participation Center has paid more than $17.8 million for services from Mission Control, a microtargeting firm that touts itself as "the most successful direct mail firm working in Democratic politics today. Mission Control has claimed credit for delivering Democratic wins in hotly contested House, Senate, and Gubernatorial races.

During that same three-year timeframe, the Voter Participation Center paid nearly $40 million to the Pivot Group, another Democratic microtargeting firm that claims credit for "winning races from the municipal level to Congress and from the Statehouse to the Statewide office."

"Voter Participation Center has laughed at the line forbidding partisan voter registration for years. Their partisan ad targeting fits with their using Democratic microtargeting firms. Will they ever be held accountable?" Walter told the Washington Free Beacon. "In an age of microtargeting and zero accountability, charities should not be allowed to register voters or get out the vote, period."

The Voter Participation Center receives funding from a cavalcade of prominent liberal dark money groups, including the Hopewell Fund, a branch of the Arabella Advisors dark money network, and the Tides Foundation, according to Influence Watch.

The Voter Participation Center has a long history of leveraging aggressive tactics to turn out Democratic voters to the polls. In 2018, it ran mailers to voters in swing districts threatening to expose them to their neighbors if they chose not to participate in that year’s election, saying public records would show whether or not they cast a ballot.

"Who you vote for is private, but whether or not you vote is public record," read a 2018 mailer from its partner organization, the Center for Voter Information, the Free Beacon reported. "We’re sending this mailing to you and your neighbors to share who does and does not vote in an effort to promote election participation."
