(4) ARIZONA GOP DOES END RUN AROUND DEM GOVERNOR ON IMMIGRATION: Arizona Republicans said they will turn the Secure The Border Act into a 2024 ballot measure, bypassing the need for Governor Katie Hobbs’ (D) signature.

If the ballot measure passes, it will only take effect if federal courts uphold Texas’ similar SB4 state immigration law.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) filed a suit against Iowa for passing a similar law, saying it violates the Supremacy and Foreign Commerce Clauses of the U.S. Constitution.

Why It Matters: The ballot measure is likely to pass in November, immigration is polling as a top issue with Americans, and according to polling, a majority see illegal immigration as a threat to U.S. vital interests. Republicans have only a slight majority in the Arizona state legislature, and this maneuver will allow this new state immigration law to pass without the possibility of a veto by Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs. – R.C.

(5) TEXAS AG PAXTON ADVANCES FIGHT AGAINST IMMIGRATION NGO: Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton asked Texas courts for a temporary injunction against Catholic charity Annunciation House, which Paxton said operates as a criminal enterprise designed to facilitate illegal immigration and shelter illegal aliens from law enforcement.

Paxton said his office obtained sworn testimony that Annunciation House knowingly goes into Mexico to retrieve foreign nationals who have been denied entry by Customs and Border Patrol.

Why It Matters: Like far left support networks, pro-immigration nonprofits provide a massive support network that facilitates the entry of illegal aliens into the U.S. and is funded through a network of nonprofits. This Non Government Organization (NGO) support network for illegal immigrants is extensive, including many religious nonprofits that provide access and funding for pro bono legal services, cash assistance, housing assistance, and guidance on applying for federal and state government benefits. – R.C.

Marc the Great One cynically suggested we almost may as well get rid of border protection ,  homeland security.
What's the point if everyone and anyone can simply walk in or come is some other way such as some sort of visa and then have babies and stay here anyway.

China preparing attacks on US Water Supply
« Reply #3064 on: June 04, 2024, 05:11:24 AM »
- - Our company sent out this memo to employees, staff, and owners out today due to the attacks on the U.S. Water Supplies:

“This morning, the Director of the National Security Agency (NSA) noted that China is attacking and preparing for attacks on U.S. domestic water systems. These are not military targets, we the people have become the target. (See WSJ: https://www.wsj.com/politics/national-security/china-is-prepositioning-for-future-cyberattacksand-thenew-nsa-chief-is-worried-5ede04ef)

On April 30, 2024, The White House published a memo called National Security Memorandum on Critical Infrastructure Security and Resilience. (See WH: https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/presidential-actions/2024/04/30/national-security-memorandum-on-critical-infrastructure-security-and-resilience/) This memo also states that our adversaries both state and non-state plan to “break the will of the American people.”

Over the weekend during the Shangra-la Dialogue, U.S. and Chinese (People’s Liberation Army) diplomats exchanged barbs over Taiwan in a new level of escalation. War in the INDOPACIFIC seems certain. The timing and nature of this pending conflict remains a product of China’s tolerance for risk. Risk is quantified in how the U.S. and her allies will respond.

The totality of information in these developments seems to point to a couple of possibilities: China is planning to preempt a move on Taiwan with action(s) against the USA or follow a move on Taiwan with definitive actions against the U.S. critical infrastructure. Our critical infrastructure is comprised of, for the most part, centralized water distribution systems

Biden draws down SPR
« Reply #3065 on: June 04, 2024, 05:22:00 AM »
(2) GOP: BIDEN SPR DRAWDOWN PUTS NATIONAL SECURITY AT RISK: In a letter to Department of Energy (DOE) Secretary Jennifer Granholm, Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) and Sen. John Barrasso (R-WY) said the Biden administration’s unprecedented Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) drawdown, and no credible plan to replenish the SPR puts U.S. energy and national security at risk.

According to the letter, Biden officials John Podesta and Amos Hochstein said the administration is considering future SPR releases to lower gas prices.

Rodgers and Barrasso said the Biden administration’s mismanagement of the SPR, combined with a “whole-of-government approach” to phasing out oil and natural gas development, is disrupting near-term prices and jeopardizing future resource development.

Why It Matters: The SPR is at a historically low level. The Biden administration has touted plans to refill the SPR, but oil purchases have been a fraction of the release. Biden released 290 million barrels in the lead-up to the 2022 midterm election to lower gas prices, and fewer than 10 million barrels have been purchased by the DOE to refill the SPR. Multiple planned SPR purchases have also been postponed or canceled. The SPR currently has about 17 days of oil, which leaves the U.S. vulnerable to supply chain disruptions in the event of a crisis or conflict that impacts domestic oil production and foreign oil imports. – R.C.

So brazenly political for something that so clearly is supposed to be "strategic'.

If oil supplies are in shortage after banning the production and movement of it everywhere that they can - why do they think that is.

The pipeline for example was cancelled because they wanted to ween us off of oil by driving the price up.  That's not an accusation.  That's exactly what they did and why they did it - in the first minute in office.  Now they want to 'strategically' cover it up each election cycle.

It largely worked for them in the midterms.  Very disappointing that 'honest Democrats' put up with this bullsh*t.

https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/4703187-joe-biden-blames-donald-trump-gop-asylum-order/

Let's see.  The border was brought under control by Trump.  Made into a crisis, human catastrophe under Biden.  It's Republicans fault because Biden can't do anything without new laws from Congress.  (He's already not following old laws passed by Congress.) Now he announces sealing the border without Congressional action.  Trump leads in all 6 swing states.  They got their conviction but voters still want the border secured.  They can only get that by voting from Trump, even if they hate mean tweets.  Enter Joe's handlers with their new policy.  Secure the border - at least make a head fake that direction.

Voters want lower gas prices too so open the reserve.

Will voters fall for these disingenuous false flags?

Probably yes, some will.

homelessness up threefold in chicago, illegals, migrants

Didn't we have enough problems in Chicago?

Democrat-run city, Democrat-run state, Democrat-run country, Democrat-run border, I can't see exactly how we blame Trump.

How close are these illegals to being able to afford the median priced house in America now approaching a half million dollars?

I guess the American dream is now to beg on the street corners and get taxpayer paid healthcare, or something like that.

don't forget voter registration and ballot harvesting.

I guess Illinois is not a swing state but still it does not require ID to vote:

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2024-election/voter-identification-states-law-map-rcna137555

they probably get offered a few bucks to vote on a ballot brought over to them when a vote is needed.

FO: The Jordanian illegals and Quantico
« Reply #3075 on: June 27, 2024, 02:56:34 PM »

(4) BIDEN ADMIN REFUSING TO RELEASE DETAILS ON QUANTICO INCIDENT: According to the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS), the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) coordinator for Marine Corps Base Quantico and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) said “privacy interest” of two Jordanian nationals who tried to infiltrate the base outweighed “the minimal public interest” in their identities being disclosed.

The Department of Homeland Security has not responded to multiple letters from Republican lawmakers requesting more information on the incident by 6 June.

“I am tired of this administration stonewalling every investigation into its unlawful, irresponsible, and disastrous policies and decisions,” House Homeland Security Committee chair Mark Green (R-TN) said.

Why It Matters: There are two possible reasons the Biden administration is refusing to release information on the two Jordanian nationals. Federal agencies may be conducting investigations into any ties the two Jordanians have with other possible terrorist or terror-group linked actors also in the United States. More likely, there is a political concern over publicizing the details of the incident when other high-profile crimes by illegal immigrants are circulating in the media ahead of the election, while immigration remains a major election issue. – R.C.

Panama recorded 195,817 crossing the Darien Gap into Panama for the year as of 27 June and expects to hit 200,000 before the end of the month. The National Migration Service estimates that 19,600 of the recorded migrants were from Asia, and 5,508 were from Africa. The Department of Political Affairs of the United Nations expects more than 800 thousand people of different nationalities will cross the border between Panama and Colombia this year and head to the U.S. and Canada.

WT: Detecting Narco Drones
« Reply #3079 on: July 10, 2024, 07:19:06 AM »
Lawmakers seek technology to curb drones smuggling cartel drugs, weapons

BY MATT DELANEY THE WASHINGTON TIMES

Thwarting the Mexican cartels’ fleet of drones bringing drugs and weapons over the U.S. southern border was of chief concern Tuesday to a bipartisan group of Capitol Hill lawmakers.

Republicans and Democrats sought to understand the scope of Mexican gangs’ remote-controlled armada and what technology could be used to prevent those devices from entering American territory during a House Homeland Security subcommittee hearing.

Law enforcement officials and drone technology executives testifi ed on thevulnerability of U.S. airspace to foreign incursions, telling lawmakers that wealthy Mexican cartels have more aircraft than the Border Patrol has detection equipment.

“It is my understanding, for every drone flown by border security, the Mexican cartel is flying 17 drones,” Rep. Dale Strong, Alabama Republican, said during the hearing. “Data shows the Mexican cartel are flying drones greater than 30 miles into U.S. airspace, landing and offloading drugs on U.S. soil — fentanyl, heroin, cocaine, marijuana and the list continues.”

Carl Landrum, a vice president of strategy at drone technology company Dedrone and a former chief agent at the Border Patrol’s Laredo station, laid out how sparse anti-drone technology is in his sector.

He said the 177-mile stretch his agents patrolled had just two devices that could spot drones.

Mr. Landrum added that drones can be outfitted differently, so multiple methods are needed to locate them in the sky.

Some aircraft emit a radio frequency that can be detected by airborne jamming drones, while others need to be found using radar. Further, he said cameras are needed to visually confirm what the monitoring technology is actually picking up.

Mr. Landrum said detection devices range anywhere from $50,000 per unit to up to $800,000.

Rep. Glenn Ivey, Maryland Democrat, asked the executive what drone-stopping technology is being used in the Russia-Ukraine war. Ukrainian forces are known to use the small aircraft to drop grenades on Russian targets.

Mr. Landrum said if jammers aren’t on hand, soldiers have to try to shoot the drones down.

Rep. Lou Correa, California Democrat, also asked Mr. Landrum about his mention of the Mexican cartels using the drones to drop their own explosive payloads.

The executive referenced a recent offensive in Mexico last week where drones were used.

News website Aztec Reports reported that the Jalisco New Generation Cartel has used drones in ongoing attacks on the village of Santa Maria Ostula since July 1. The Associated Press reported that the same cartel used drones in an attack in the Mexican state of Gurrero earlier this year.

“These are dangerous capabilities that are being utilized by the cartels,” Mr. Landrum said.

Mr. Correa talked about the need for 5,000 more Customs and Border Protection officers to man the U.S. Ports of Entry, but numbers are thin at the areas between those designated entrances.

Terrell County Sheriff Thaddeus Cleveland testified that he used to work at the Border Patrol’s Sanderson station in the rural Texas county of roughly 700 residents.

He said there were usually only three or four agents on duty at a time to keep an eye on the 91-mile sector.

Judicial Watch: Packs of uniformed Fighting Aged Males entering via AZ

Packs of “Fighting Age Males” in Military Uniforms Entering U.S. through Remote Arizona Town
CC border

As the nation’s largest southern border crossings finally receive mainstream media coverage years into an unprecedented illegal immigration crisis, untold numbers of “fighting age males” dressed in military uniforms are entering the United States through remote areas with no Border Patrol presence. It is a palpable security lapse unlikely to be reported by most news outlets and local, federal, and state law enforcement sources have provided Judicial Watch with detailed accounts, reports, diagrams, and photos of the situation which is terrorizing residents in a once harmonious Arizona town just a few miles from Mexico. They blame the Biden administration’s catastrophic open border policies for the serious problems that have gripped the area in the last few years.

The Santa Cruz and Pima County regions in southwestern Arizona have been slammed with extraordinary violence and crime fueled by Mexican cartels—smuggling drugs and humans—that are victimizing fourth and fifth-generation cattle farmers who have captured thousands of illegal immigrants on security cameras passing through their property since Joe Biden became president. Sometimes they find dead bodies and drug paraphernalia. “Violent activity has drastically increased over the past three years since the border is now perceived to be wide open,” a veteran law enforcement official told Judicial Watch this week, adding that in the communities of Amado and Arivaca American citizens feel much less safe than they did when Donald Trump was president. Both are cattle ranching towns with small populations that are diminishing because of the increased violence. Amado is nestled in the Santa Cruz River Valley about 29 miles from the Mexican border. Arivaca is situated southwest of Amado about 11 miles from Nogales, Mexico.

An unmanned Border Patrol checkpoint east of Arivaca worries residents deeply, but the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has no intention of deploying agents, according to multiple sources. In the meantime, law enforcement officials and residents confirm that young men are pouring in through the region in what appears to be an organized movement operated by Mexican cartels. “They are unemployed, the majority are fighting age males and there is a strong possibility some have undergone some level of insurgency training,” according to a law enforcement source familiar with the situation. The groups of men are usually dressed in “camouflage military uniforms, indicating a robust and well-funded supply network to ensure everyone is outfitted the same,” said an intelligence officer with extensive U.S. military training who provided Judicial Watch with pictures and graphs of recent crossings. The uniformed men also carry camouflaged backpacks and wear carpet booties to hide footprint tracks. Large piles of the disposed carpet booties litter ranches on the U.S. side, creating a hazard for cattle that consume the trash.

One longtime area rancher said that since Biden became president, he has recorded over 3,560 illegal immigrants on security cameras on his property, a tenfold increase from the previous administration. Another said he has not seen a Border Patrol agent for quite a while, likely because the frontline Homeland Security agency is overwhelmed with the onslaught of migrants in the last few years. “They have recommended we not travel to certain areas of our ranch, and we never go out there at night,” said the rancher, who does not want his name used out of fear for the safety of his family. Locals say the violence is causing the already small population of Arivaca to dwindle quickly. A few years ago, the town had 1,200 residents and now there are approximately 600. Authorities say those who leave are mostly relocating north to Green Valley, about 35 miles away, or Tucson which is around 60 miles away. The area has become so dangerous that the U.S. Forest Service told a rancher it would no longer travel there to monitor enclosure areas established to oversee endangered species.

The continuous stream of trash and human waste left behind by the staggering flow of migrants and smugglers has also devastated the local environment and livestock. Besides large piles of discarded carpet booties, mounds of plastic waste are having a detrimental effect on cattle because they eat it and become ill, ranchers said. Many also die after ingesting traces of drugs found in wrappings left behind by smugglers. To help illustrate how porous the border is in this region, one rancher said Mexican cattle regularly cruise into the U.S. side, creating a major risk of introducing illnesses to American cattle that, although inoculated, may be vulnerable to new strains and diseases that may prevail south of the border. “We removed 120 Mexican cattle over the past six months,” said a veteran rancher, who explained that it is a lot of extra work to keep the foreign livestock from mingling with local cattle to prevent unsafe beef being distributed throughout the U.S. food industry.

If Biden gets reelected the situation will likely worsen, say law enforcement officials and residents in the remote Arizona region. Other small towns are also suffering from the impact of this administration’s flagrant open border policies. Just a few months ago Judicial Watch wrote about another once tranquil border region that has been devastated by illegal immigration and drug smuggling. It is situated in Cochise County to the east of Amado and Arivaca in the picturesque Sonoran Desert surrounded by the scenic Huachuca Mountains. Human and drug traffickers regularly evade a meager force of Border Patrol agents in the mountainous region and local law enforcement officials say the addition of the new “American smuggler,” U.S. citizens, predominantly young adults from Phoenix and Tucson recruited by Mexican cartels through social media, has created deadly consequences in the communities where the American recruits often travel at dangerously high speeds through local roads and highways.
