(4) ARIZONA GOP DOES END RUN AROUND DEM GOVERNOR ON IMMIGRATION: Arizona Republicans said they will turn the Secure The Border Act into a 2024 ballot measure, bypassing the need for Governor Katie Hobbs’ (D) signature.

If the ballot measure passes, it will only take effect if federal courts uphold Texas’ similar SB4 state immigration law.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) filed a suit against Iowa for passing a similar law, saying it violates the Supremacy and Foreign Commerce Clauses of the U.S. Constitution.

Why It Matters: The ballot measure is likely to pass in November, immigration is polling as a top issue with Americans, and according to polling, a majority see illegal immigration as a threat to U.S. vital interests. Republicans have only a slight majority in the Arizona state legislature, and this maneuver will allow this new state immigration law to pass without the possibility of a veto by Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs. – R.C.

(5) TEXAS AG PAXTON ADVANCES FIGHT AGAINST IMMIGRATION NGO: Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton asked Texas courts for a temporary injunction against Catholic charity Annunciation House, which Paxton said operates as a criminal enterprise designed to facilitate illegal immigration and shelter illegal aliens from law enforcement.

Paxton said his office obtained sworn testimony that Annunciation House knowingly goes into Mexico to retrieve foreign nationals who have been denied entry by Customs and Border Patrol.

Why It Matters: Like far left support networks, pro-immigration nonprofits provide a massive support network that facilitates the entry of illegal aliens into the U.S. and is funded through a network of nonprofits. This Non Government Organization (NGO) support network for illegal immigrants is extensive, including many religious nonprofits that provide access and funding for pro bono legal services, cash assistance, housing assistance, and guidance on applying for federal and state government benefits. – R.C.

This is about three weeks old, but Jennifer Griffin had a major piece on this tonight on Bret Baier.  Can someone find it and post it here please?

Marc the Great One cynically suggested we almost may as well get rid of border protection ,  homeland security.
What's the point if everyone and anyone can simply walk in or come is some other way such as some sort of visa and then have babies and stay here anyway.

China preparing attacks on US Water Supply
« Reply #3064 on: June 04, 2024, 05:11:24 AM »
- - Our company sent out this memo to employees, staff, and owners out today due to the attacks on the U.S. Water Supplies:

“This morning, the Director of the National Security Agency (NSA) noted that China is attacking and preparing for attacks on U.S. domestic water systems. These are not military targets, we the people have become the target. (See WSJ: https://www.wsj.com/politics/national-security/china-is-prepositioning-for-future-cyberattacksand-thenew-nsa-chief-is-worried-5ede04ef)

On April 30, 2024, The White House published a memo called National Security Memorandum on Critical Infrastructure Security and Resilience. (See WH: https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/presidential-actions/2024/04/30/national-security-memorandum-on-critical-infrastructure-security-and-resilience/) This memo also states that our adversaries both state and non-state plan to “break the will of the American people.”

Over the weekend during the Shangra-la Dialogue, U.S. and Chinese (People’s Liberation Army) diplomats exchanged barbs over Taiwan in a new level of escalation. War in the INDOPACIFIC seems certain. The timing and nature of this pending conflict remains a product of China’s tolerance for risk. Risk is quantified in how the U.S. and her allies will respond.

The totality of information in these developments seems to point to a couple of possibilities: China is planning to preempt a move on Taiwan with action(s) against the USA or follow a move on Taiwan with definitive actions against the U.S. critical infrastructure. Our critical infrastructure is comprised of, for the most part, centralized water distribution systems

Biden draws down SPR
« Reply #3065 on: June 04, 2024, 05:22:00 AM »
(2) GOP: BIDEN SPR DRAWDOWN PUTS NATIONAL SECURITY AT RISK: In a letter to Department of Energy (DOE) Secretary Jennifer Granholm, Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) and Sen. John Barrasso (R-WY) said the Biden administration’s unprecedented Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) drawdown, and no credible plan to replenish the SPR puts U.S. energy and national security at risk.

According to the letter, Biden officials John Podesta and Amos Hochstein said the administration is considering future SPR releases to lower gas prices.

Rodgers and Barrasso said the Biden administration’s mismanagement of the SPR, combined with a “whole-of-government approach” to phasing out oil and natural gas development, is disrupting near-term prices and jeopardizing future resource development.

Why It Matters: The SPR is at a historically low level. The Biden administration has touted plans to refill the SPR, but oil purchases have been a fraction of the release. Biden released 290 million barrels in the lead-up to the 2022 midterm election to lower gas prices, and fewer than 10 million barrels have been purchased by the DOE to refill the SPR. Multiple planned SPR purchases have also been postponed or canceled. The SPR currently has about 17 days of oil, which leaves the U.S. vulnerable to supply chain disruptions in the event of a crisis or conflict that impacts domestic oil production and foreign oil imports. – R.C.

So brazenly political for something that so clearly is supposed to be "strategic'.

If oil supplies are in shortage after banning the production and movement of it everywhere that they can - why do they think that is.

The pipeline for example was cancelled because they wanted to ween us off of oil by driving the price up.  That's not an accusation.  That's exactly what they did and why they did it - in the first minute in office.  Now they want to 'strategically' cover it up each election cycle.

It largely worked for them in the midterms.  Very disappointing that 'honest Democrats' put up with this bullsh*t.

Border Security, 'who do, who do you think you're foolin''

https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/4703187-joe-biden-blames-donald-trump-gop-asylum-order/

Let's see.  The border was brought under control by Trump.  Made into a crisis, human catastrophe under Biden.  It's Republicans fault because Biden can't do anything without new laws from Congress.  (He's already not following old laws passed by Congress.) Now he announces sealing the border without Congressional action.  Trump leads in all 6 swing states.  They got their conviction but voters still want the border secured.  They can only get that by voting from Trump, even if they hate mean tweets.  Enter Joe's handlers with their new policy.  Secure the border - at least make a head fake that direction.

Voters want lower gas prices too so open the reserve.

Will voters fall for these disingenuous false flags?

Probably yes, some will.

homelessness up threefold in chicago, illegals, migrants
« Reply #3069 on: June 10, 2024, 06:41:26 AM »
https://chicago.suntimes.com/city-hall/2024/06/07/chicago-homeless-threefold-increase-migrant-crisis

Didn't we have enough problems in Chicago?

Democrat-run city, Democrat-run state, Democrat-run country, Democrat-run border, I can't see exactly how we blame Trump.

How close are these illegals to being able to afford the median priced house in America now approaching a half million dollars?

I guess the American dream is now to beg on the street corners and get taxpayer paid healthcare, or something like that.

don't forget voter registration and ballot harvesting.

I guess Illinois is not a swing state but still it does not require ID to vote:

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2024-election/voter-identification-states-law-map-rcna137555

they probably get offered a few bucks to vote on a ballot brought over to them when a vote is needed.
